NRL average fiday night (not including finals) is 549k

AFL (week 2): 2,116,000 from 2 matches (1,058,000 average)
AFL (week 1): 3,921,000 from 4 matches (980,250 average)
NRL (week 1): 2,597,000 from 4 matches (649,250 average)

That's with AFL matches going longer, more ads etc. Looking at those figures, it's still a mystery as to we get a shitload more from our broadcast deal... well, not really
