Eh, pretty cool I guess.
My old lady is out and about today shopping, said she'll have a crack at few stores for me. Told her to use any means necessary but not to tell me what that may encompass...
Being in QLD, hopefully the retailers here have no idea what an "AFL" is, and she can snare a copy. Not holding my breath though.
I'd be very surprised if official reviews were good. AFL games can occasionally be better than the sum of their parts, but reviews usually give a rough score based on the sum of each part. AFL Live 1 is a great example where it got pretty terrible reviews but was still really fun online.
I'm way more interested in the reviews of everyone here who also enjoyed Live 1.

You're right in a sense that everyone will win but not in your reasoning behind it. On Friday when I have my hands on the game I will be posting my edited attributes for each player and their final ratings. As the season progresses I will be doing slight updates based on players form. Get pumped FEARTHEBEARD13!

Got the email today from JB Hi Fi that they've shipped my AFL Evo order. Dunno if they've sent it on Wednesday because I'm in NZ and won't get it anyway til next week most likely.
I got it as well. As far as I can remember with JB and new releases, they've always shipped 2 days prior and I receive on release day.
Got the same email just now, and I'm in the Melbourne CBD. Fingers crossed it arrives today!
Probably a good idea to ring Big W etc who might not care when it's released. Is it normal for JB to ship a game this early with the release date Friday?

Just asked a guy at target in Brisbane and he thought I said "Halo Evolution". It ain't breaking, folks.
Isn't that a sign that it could break? He has no idea what the game is so assumes it's not a major title (which it obviously isn't) and couldn't give a shit if it breaks?

Yep definitely think there will be official reviews even if it takes a few weeks but I'm with Jebus, I'll be a lot more keen to see what people who have been posting in this thread think of it rather than someone who's doing just another game review.

JB are shipping today to allow the potential 2-day travel time so it gets to peoples homes' on release day. Doesn't mean anything.

It's pretty bad but i did it by memory before looking at any photos. Not enough hair options and the facial features are hard to get, especially seeing as this is the first time ive ever tried to make anybody besides myself in a game.

It means it could be delivered as early as tomorrow, possibly (not probably) even late today. You said it yourself - "potential 2 day travel time".

of course it means something, if someone like dazman who is melbourne CBD he has a very high chance of getting it tomorrow, if he and others post photos of receipts then everyone else can go to EB and potentially force a sale.
im not saying its guaranteed I'm just saying its a high chance especially only 24 hours out
