As has been said a number of times, they quite obviously changed his stats. You can see his stamina doesn't decrease at all the whole time he sprints the length of the field.

Okay. I just watched the video. Pretty silly marketing from Wicked Witch as I won't be the only one thinking it looks buggy.

You can see it in the videos. When you pull back to power up a shot at goal, if you flick forward straight it will go straight if you either side it will banana.

But what if you flick it a bit to the side by accident/skill error? Shouldn't the ball miss in that direction, and not suddenly be a banana?

Out of curiosity, what do you suggest for the goal kicking mechanic?

NBA 2k shooting mechanic. You need to pull back the right amount of time for the right power and flick forward straight for accuracy.

I reckon North have done this themselves.
As none of the wicked witch sites or official channels have reposted or shared the North video like they did with the GWS.
Obviously they must've had some dealings to get the game in their hands but even the microphone has North Melbourne logos on it.

Yep, then any very slight movement left or right of the stick accidentally when flicking it forward will slightly affect the kick accuracy left ot right. Any purposeful movement of the stick left or right will result in a banana.

Fair enough. I think that a greater control should be made on what videos get released. I mean sure, you can't really avoid crap like that, but perhaps at WW they should have shown some raw gameplay demos by two people who are really good at the game? To show how it can really look like if played well?

Bradman Cricket 2017 had similar marketing issues, where for a month or two before even the trailer there was just grainy, mobile phone filmed footage of newbies playing who barely knew the controls. If course the game was going to look bad if you had one person just bowling wides and the other person trying to hook a yorker.

I would be happy for bananas to only occur if you hold down a modifier, say one of the L1 or R1 buttons. When you kick a real footy it is a distinctively different action to go for a banana, owing to how you hold the ball.

I'm happy to give this game a shot before criticising it though.

Couldn't agree more. That's why I find TruBlu's methods so frustrating.
They seem to believe any publicity is bad publicity (which could be true but it's of their own making after rushing out a shitty AFL live 2 to cash in on the license)
Must be so frustrating to develop for them.

Give the game to sites for a "first look" type feature or well known youtubers who are going to treat the game and the audience fairly.

Saw this on facebook... is that the game or just the community?
I'd say its just the placeholder for everything. PSN still has nothing.

I did ask WW yesterday though and they confirmed it would be there.

I wonder if you can buy it and download it early like FIFA. Then as soon as it hits 8AM you aren't waiting for it to install.

Considering the physical release is likely to break release date, i would hope so! I've never pre-ordered via PS Store so not sure, but is pre-loading for preorders standard with most releases?

Unfortunately not. Its getting better, and closer to becoming the standard, but it is still only the bigger games that get the preload treatment. That is on PS4 atleast.

I'm not sure tbh, I'm on Xbox and I usually get the 10 hours free FIFA with EA Access, which you need the full game for so obviously the whole game needs to be availible. Hopefully that's the case, I'll try on the actual console tonight.

And it probably won't under normal conditions.
We don't know for sure yet.

If Preuss' stamina isn't going down AT ALL, enabling him to run much much further than should be the case that's a pretty good and reasonable excuse for stupid shit happening behind him.
That's just how it is.

I was more replying to your claim that neither of those things EVER happened in live 1 which is clear BS and there's a video 5 posts above yours showing exactly that.
Mrs works at target. They're getting it Tuesday. I'll let you guys know how it plays.

Haha in Melbourne?

Hi guys,

I see some discussion about the gameplay in the North Melbourne Clip, which is fair enough!

Let us just say the game plays and looks quite different depending on a number of things. For example, the game flows best and is more realistic with good tactics set up, the AI difficulty on medium or hard, and users who have played for a while and know some advanced controls such as bumps, evades, torpedos, kick to leads and all the rest of it.

However, when the game is set to beginner where the AI run slowly and don’t tackle often or do much else, when international teams have that have quite low rankings and stats are used, and 4 players are on one team who are new to the game or don’t know controls, can lead to a lack of flow and cohesion.

Some if this difference can be seen in the two club videos that have been released. This is not making excuses, just explaining some of the differences that you guys are noticing.

I hope you can understand that, and in one weeks time we will see you all playing like champions with some of the advanced AI and tactics settings, and sharing your most awesome gameplay moments! :)

Sincerely,
Daniel.

Is it possible to get some footage of the game with the developers playing it?

Thanks for popping in again.

Can you confirm that the North players made Preuss a 99 overall?
