So 7 Primetime Thursday and Friday games but only two as the home team and one of those is in Tassie in June.
Would assume we get in the back end

Port home game at night
Carlton home game at night
Pies home game at night
Melbourne home game at night

*At least 2 of these

Would guess that the Hawthorn away game always gets a bigger crowd due to the replacement game so guarantees a bigger crowd early in the season

It's like the Jackass Genie trope. We got what we wished for but not really the way we intended.

Perhaps they're waiting to see how many Hawk supporters rock up to these fixtures before committing to giving us more as the home team - maybe in the floating fixture in the backend of the year. Eyeing off round 20 and 22 against the Blues and Pies at the G.

Sort of what you want.
It's becoming more and more difficult for the average fan to attend thursday/Friday night footy, so best to have them away which generates sponsorship dollars for the club

It's the prime Saturday games (twighlight) you want as home games. They generally don't interfere with anything allowing more to attend and give biggest bang for buck for members

Suns and us both coming off five days rests going into the Darwin match. They play up there the previous Saturday so given the oppressive conditions we might have a small advantage,
Suns get to stay in Darwin and climatise

We come off a 5 day break and 4 hour flight to Darwin …it takes at least 2 days to climatise to Darwin weather

Set up for another belting up there imo

We'll be firmly planted on prime time on the back end. Can't wait

Nightmare run home there.
No home games at the G between rd 11 and 20
1 game in Melbourne between Rd 13 and 20.

lol

All MCG games except against the reigning premiers are against MCG tenants. Carlton (a part marvel tenant) have more MCG games than us and double ups against West Coast and North and finished one spot below us

No "home" games against a Marvel tenant is a welcome change.

Games at this stage that I wouldn't have us as favourites or close to even money are Freo in Perth and the Lions at the Gabba. (Obviously hard to predict the strength of any team at this point)

Double ups against Pies, Blues, Dees, Port, Crows and Lions. Will be tough but at least half of those are on neutral territory.

No GWS away game is good for us also.

Suns in Darwin a bit of a bogey fixture but I'm sure we'll be keen to not make poor performances there a habit.

Haven't looked at how many day breaks between games and that of our opponents going into them. But looks like a pretty good fixture for us all things considered. Tough but entertaining and potentially quite lucrative.
