At the risk of this coming across as a tad self-indulgent, let me preface these comments by saying that I’m certain there are many other posters on this forum with similar experiences…

By the age of 14 I'd been to 5 Grand Finals (77x2, 79, 80, 81) and my team didn't win any of them.

Quite a burden to carry for a young supporter but in 1990 all of that tragedy was dispensed with and boy did we celebrate!

I went to the drawn game in 2010 (seen Collingwood draw 2 grannies 33 years apart!) but unfortunately didn't attend the win the following week.

I won't be there today but like all dedicated supporters will be cheering hard for the Pies…because they are and always will be a big part of my life. Forever.

For those of you lucky enough to attend, help get those hot Pies across the line!
