Hi guys..

Is there different jumpers that you can select before a game such as home, clash, nab cup, training jumpers etc?

Question for HBK, did you play as Richmond:thumbsu:? How do the Richmond players look in particular JR8?

I think it's been well documented that all jumpers irl are in the game

without wanting to give too much away, you have control over the way your team plays.

So basicaly if you play a run and gun style when you take controll of a player and take off on a long sprint do all your teammates then sprint as well to recieve or do only the players ahead of you lead toward you and work to space.

Thanks. What about clash jumpers that have not yet been revealed for 2011?

and will the Tigers be sponsorless considering the game is nearly finished and we still don't have a sponsor?

The AI seems to be pretty good in terms of being responsive to your game plan. Can't say too much more than that, simply because haven't played enough

Hey guys were you able to get a tv view like in Fifa???

Also (probably didn't attempt this but) were you able to sort of chip the ball around without losing possession? I know in previous games that was nigh impossible.

Thanks for all the insight btw, great work :thumbsu:

I think you have to expect the game designers would need some time to get everything in there, and if there are unannounced or very late changes they may not make it

are tackles and bumps fairly similar everytime? or can you lay heavier tackles and heavy bumps?

You can lay heavier bumps and tackles if you want. I think one of the really pleasing aspects of the game is the unpredictability of it, and the variety. It's not so repetitive or pre-ordained. Players might take one handed marks, or get their hands free in a tackle

Just out of interest which console did you guys play it on?

PS3

There's a variety of camera angles. The main one is surprisingly good though, we were all surprised by the fact you could see a fair way down the field, yet still be close enough to the action.

You can definitely chip the ball around, but because there were a few of us, and we were n00bs, we probably weren't good enough

That's good news on the camera angles. And yeah fair enough on the chipping.

Great point, for yonks i would attempt to make it realistic by short passing and honouring leads

Often i would start with a kick out to the BP and then if i was lucky i might have been able to hit up a target 25 metres away on the boundary. From there the forwards refused to lead and i had to resort to bombing long, really hoping you can play zones and link up plays...:thumbsu:

Tell me about it. The 04 version was about as close as you could get to doing it. But even still....2 chip kicks & marks in a row was an achievement. The 05-06-07 versions were absolute rubbish in that respect (many other respects too :p). You'd have the player winding up as if he was about to unload a Blight-esque 80m torpedo only to bunt it 20m into space or to an opponent - never hitting up a lead.

Still can't believe i played those games as much as i did.

They were good at using the bump to give away frees and 50 in front of goal :p

Thanks for replying both Ross and Lance. My theory is if its a good enough hit, it's worth giving away a goal or two :p. By the sounds of it, it should work well :)

Q's for HBK and Lance,

Did you get to play on all 3 platforms while there (XBOX vs PS3 vs PC)?

I would like to know if any of you hadn't ever used the controllers before and tested out the 'intuitive' gameplay and if you had before, did you get to experiment with all the buttons and functions during gameplay.

By what Ross has said before it does sound like you could invite mates around who know and love AFL, give them a controller for the first time and still have a competetive game. Would love to know all your thoughts picking the controllers up for the first time. :)

They have plenty of time to get a sponsor and if they were late with one id say bigant would release and update

two questions for lance. Did you take any screamers/speckies and how hard were they to do? And Did you dribble the ball along the ground at all whilst kicking at goal and was this difficult if you did so?

We played it on PS3 only.

It was a simple pick up and learn experience. And there's a lot to learn.
Plenty of mistakes and laughter were had. Plus we got to look through some of the menus and options for creating teams and customisation of players.

You guys will love the video when it's released.
Especially Bombers fans.
