All of this is so incredibly exciting.

I just hope the spineless, keyboard warrior reviewers of the world don't berate the game because it doesn't have the same level of realism as in the latest Fifa/NHL/Basketball, which are incredible games with incredible budgets.

Reviews seem so pivotal to the sales of any game these days, and that is sickening.

Might have develop a mysterious illness the day it is released to give myself enough time to appreciate it. :thumbsu:
 
I have gone from viewing this thread once a month at the start of 2010, then once the season finished i up'd the viewing and posting on here to weekly. The offseason wasn't getting to me in Dec-Jan and I was on here daily...to the point now im rushing home from work to log on to see if there have been anymore advancements/announcements.

We have had Pics, then 5 sec vid, a gamer review, testing from BF... surely we are only days away from seeing a press release now!!! :eek:

Hopefully Mr Symons will pull a fast one on us all and announce a release of the game before April just before the season proper and appease the thousands of patriotic followers on BF...:p

P.S. Can I invest shares in Big Ant? even though the $ returns aren't big in the gaming industry, these guys are set to make a killing.
(Ross you can plan a holiday back to Vegas for non-work related shenanigans.)
 
Hey Ross just a quickie are you guys gonna give Ant a free copy for all his efforts on monitoring these threads which will soon be into number 12 in not time, actually prob by morning lol
Anyway keep up the good work Ant and Bigant and i hate you HBK and Lance lol

Great 2 hear all the new info guys! I can only think of one question to HBK and Lance and that is from the very short time you guys had to play, what specific area (not gameplay, but say tackling, kicking, defense, tactics) was the most promising?

For me it was all about the ruck duals. Maybe it was due to them being so shit in previous games that it was something really intuitive and smart being used this time around that has more or less blown me away. But that is what I loved the most, you really can't do the usual smash it 20 metres, kick into forward 50 for goal or mark 10 metres out. Really can't speak highly enough of the rucking.

Spoiling was also great when done right.

Hey glenno I remember early on in the piece you said something along the lines of "I wish I could show you all what Ross has shown me".

And now that it seems all the info you had is out what exactly was it you were talking about was it a screen shot or info ?

One might assume (or hope) rucking takes on the same feature as the dynamic spoiling that was mentioned.

Ross seriously think you should have put Bryan Strauchanie in the game woulda been very funny!!! Too bad he plays for collingwood, and id play as any other team but them or adelaide ofcourse.... Might have to create him in my player editor and have him in my new team!! grrr now everyone will create him :mad: aww well, i can claim i thought of it first cauz i posted it first!!! :p

Well... amazingly enough he's not part of the AFLPA... if anyone knows him personally and he gives permission then I will get an artist to make him in the character creator ("Footy Factory") and do a screen shot.
 
Hey Ross just wondering if there are going to be unlockable content in the game like past players, jumpers and other stuff?
 
And another question if we pre-order the game do we get a special thing with the game like an unlockable item or footy? By the way the game looks fantastic.
 
It's criminal that we have to wait another month or more before we can

Never been obsessed with a game as much as this!!!

In particular...

What games are you making for it? AFL?

Are you aiming to get the games out on launch?

How does the console look and feel?

Have you got the Wi-Fi or 3G version? If you happen to have both, are there any cosmetic differences between the two?

How much does the console weigh? In comparison to say a PSP 3000?

You probably can't answer any of these questions though..... :D

I am under really strict NDA on the NGP - I can't tell you anything other than we are developing for it, have dev units at Big Ant and that it is awesome!
 
Lance how did the Bombers look?

were guys like Stants, Watson, Hill and Fletch recognisable? What about guys like Zaharakis and Hurley?

Really looking forward to April!

Now in that situation I would have gone and handpassed it to McVeigh who ran in to kick it to the full forward. Awyeaah! :D

I live in country Vic mate, won't get any kind of stores like EB that have a "demo" of the game that you can play in store if that's what you were aiming at? We allways miss out on that kind of stuff!

Busy with cricket until end of march so hopefully the time flys past haha
