here is the story on the Magpies exitOddball's opinion is that it is disappointing that the Western Magpies have no choice but to drop down a level next year, although not surprising. Shame is that QAFL doesn't have a 'westies' pathway into the State League. It does however continue to show what a significant 'step-up' in standard it is from Pineapple Cup to State League in both player talent and off-field resources. Oddball wonders if, in the future, any Pineapple cup club will ever have the ability to make the transistion, particularly if the next step is to the 'Northern Conference'.
