Do we maybe go outside the box a little this week and use Witts and Lynch as the ruck partnership? and basically forget about Hudson.

Carlton rank 5th for hitouts and Hudson couldn't even dominate Lobbe last week, so I can't see anyway that we win the ruck contest with Lynch and Hudson anyway, so why not add Witts who gives us more up forward and play Lynch in the ruck for more of the game, because arguably Lynch's best game for us so far was in the ruck against Carlton after Jolly went down very early and was subbed off.

Just a thought.

(This is assuming Jolly won't be available for selection of course).

So essentially you're dropping Hudson for Witts from the team against Port? Doesn't seem like to outside the box. Lot of responsibility on Witt's shoulders then.

Any word of how Warnock is going? They could really stretch us if Jolly doesn't come up.

Carlton supporters never fail to amuse me. We are two games ahead of them on the ladder and absolutely filthy with how we are playing. Compare that with the Carlton fan a few posts up who thinks his team is headed towards September glory.

It's just adorable how for so many years now they have been totally convinced that their team is just around the corner from success. I hope Carlton fans never change.

Blues by 10 goals. Kruezer will destroy Jolly like he usually does and it is a good thing you have moved the Brazilian up to the wing as he may have played Eddie Betts back into form.

Murphy and Carrazzo back in this week. We will have our strongest side for the year out on the park and our march to the finals will start on Friday night.
Why is the "4" missing from the middle of your username?

What do you mean "it's time"? Against Port was his only bad performance in the last 4 weeks
He has been poor all year he was worse against Port. He is too soft and has no influence on games any more although he still get's a bit of the ball. Send him off to the VFL and hopefully he comes back with more hunger and determination.

He's been inconsistent but was in our best 2 against North, Richmond, Essendon, Fremantle, and best 5 against Carlton and Brisbane

In - Reid, Krakouer, Young, Jolly
Out - Russell, Kennedy, Martin, Hudson

We bring in our best tall defender, our best small forward, our 2nd best outside midfielder (going by last years output), and our best ruckman.

Come on pies need this one! :) hopefully goldy and beams get through unscathed this week in the VFL and are ready for seniors in the next couple weeks maybe?

I know this board likes to build a more friendly and welcoming atmosphere to opposition supporters... but would I get into trouble if I posted something like this...?

Similar feelings...hate playing them, having to share a city with them, and anything else about them.
Carlton supporters make me nervous. They crowd our prisons and the parks are theirs after dark.

There is nothing pure about that club.

They have a history of cheating. They have ties with the underworld and their best and fairest is named after a player who was convicted of embezzlement and larceny.

They stopping winning premierships when the AFL finally did their job by investigating the salary cap. The days of handing brown paper bags in lane ways and under tables to players have long gone, just like their premiership dreams.

If you are brave enough to watch footage of games at ACCC park in the 80's you will see they didn't have doctors and lawyers cheering on the cheats under the Robert Heatley stand.

Like most of you, I will be going to the game (M16) and I will hope to not only walk away with a win but my life in tact.

Go pies.

Isn't Jolly already confirmed out?

Unfortunately, I can't see us beating them this time around. They have a full strength side this time around. Additionally, they have somewhat improved since our last meet and in their loses, haven't been flogged like us.

More amusing if you take Hotcox seriously. How that troll hasn't a perma-ban on him/her yet is also amusing.

Carrazzo will be in.
Murphy may be named for the fun of it but unlikely to play.
McInnes should also return this week, after a knee reco.

Heard from a good source that Harry O and bucks have had a major spat. Harry O won't play tomorrow night. Hope to god im wrong but my guy doesn't usually tell me info but when he does he is nearly always on the money

Seems unlikely but it won't be too long before the team is announced, so whether your source has any credence will soon be known. An injury I could believe, but a spat where the player omits himself or is omitted from the side would be most unusual.
