Not a Sinclair fan but seeds only had 4 disposals last game and similar in the game he played before that.

Nah Seedsman collected 12 disposal in a quarter and a half against the Power in the match before ANZAC day. Four day turnarounds are tough even for senior players so for a kid playing just his fourth game (never mind the fact he's 10-15kg under an ideal playing weight) its very difficult to have any sort of impact.

He should have been the sub while the fresh man Ugle (who didn't play in the VFL that weekend) should have started on the field. I think Timmy was on the money with playing Didak and then subbing him out, barring injury of course. Then the selection dilemma becomes who we drop to accommodate Didak.

I think the match committee will demote Seedsman, however I think it has more to do with the long term for him rather than the fact that Ugle or Sinclair are ahead of him.

I fail to understand wh Seedsman would have found the 4 day turnaround so difficult given that he only played a quarter and a bit the prevous game for his 12 possessions. Sinclair played the full game then backed up against essendon 4 days later with arguably his best performance.

Are you serious? or haven't you been watching the Pies lately....

WTF?? Seedsman got 4 possesssions while Sinclair played a fair game against Essendon. Seedsman will be omitted this game whereas Sinclair will probably hold his spot.

Perhaps it is not me who is not watching the Pies.

Tom Campbell there vfl ruckmen is dominating . If the dogs dont give him a go this year we should offer him a deal.

With Witts and Ceglar, as well as Wood in the reserves already, our ruck stocks look pretty good for the next few years without adding anyone, pending Jolly's retirement.

What are you getting crook at? Sinclair is ahead of Seedsman.

Overall though the output of the two was fairly similar on ANZAC day except Sinclair had 10 ineffectual possessions and 9 tackles v Seedsmans 4 ineffectual possessions and 7 tackles so in terms of genuine output both struggled off the back of 4 days break. The worry for Sinclair is that as you rightly put it that was just about his best performance for the year (I thought he was better against Port personally) yet he still had no impact on the game whatsoever.

In an ideal world neither will be picked but we don't have that ATM due to injuries so Sinclair gets the nod for mine. Finally the extra pre-season and the fact he's at his playing weight certainly gives Sinclair the edge.

Lets not forget seedsmen had no opponent the whole game against the bombers.. i was watchign him closely. Spent 95% of his time on the ground sitting 5 metres behind the pack by himself, god knows how much his opponent was hurting us.

Looking good

Most likely to have Shaw, Thomas and Didak all back this week.

Awesome.

Tarrant and Reid the week after. GO GO GO GO GO GO GO GO!!!!!

We were written off after the Carlton game, yet with wins against the lowly Dogs and Lions we will be going into the Cats blockbuster with a 5-2 record, with a healthier list then them.

If we can knock the Cats off we might be able to get to halfway at 9-2, wouldn't that shock the shit out of the rest of the AFL.:thumbsu::eek:

In: Thomas Shaw Didak Reid
Out: Seedsman Sinclair Ugle Dawes

Dawes won't be dropped for this game - especially without a replacement to relieve Jolly in the ruck when needed.

If these are the ins (and I hope they are), then I would add Buckley to the list of omissions in place of Dawes.

Although I don't mind the earlier idea of giving the worst of Thomas / Shaw an extra week and keeping Ugle or Buckley in (depending on which player is rested).

In: Shaw, Didak & Reid
Out: Seedsman, Buckley & Goldsack

Reid takes Goldy's spot in the back line with Keefe and Brown playing KP.

Shaw and Didak are like-for-like swaps with Seedsman & Buckley.

Matty you are the most optimistic supporter we have!!! After being 1 and 2, i'll take 8 - 3 at the turn!!

Disagree with you, think he should be and with the added depth of the return of Reid, give Keeffe a crack as a 2nd ruckmen, although his history there in the VFL hasnt been great he still would no doubt have dawes covered in the department IMO.

Dawes could use a good run in the twos and build some confidence in his ability again.

Other Ins (if so) are great :thumbsu:

Dawes should be kept in the senior for spud teams like footscray and Brisbane to get some touch and confidence.

No good playing 2's when you can dominate a side like the above mentioned because of their lack of KPP.

Yeah, I'd take 8-3 too after out start, with a loss to either the Cats (after an interstate trip and a 6 day break:rolleyes:) or Adelaide.

But our draw for the second half of the season is so damn tough that even an 8-3 start may not be enough to get the 16 wins I think we'll need to finish fourth or better.

Give me 8-3 now though and I'd take it.:)
