Disappointed Paine didnt get a chance. I reckon his only chance is to take Lynch's spot and woudl have liked him to come in this week in that role with Witts retained to do the ruckwork with Jolly....despite the obvious downside to our team balance by having two lumbering rucks. Its just a neccessary evil I reckon.

Other changes were no brainers, Martin and Didak forced their way in, Shaws an automatic, and the outs were obvious too, especially Dwyer who is looking tired.

Only decision that remains is the sub. Kennedy HAS to play four quarters. The easy decision is Martin but I'd like to see him start as well. Dids needs a full game, perhaps to be subbed off. Give the vest to Blair. He needs a rocket.

Somone quoted earlier they have already found out that didak is starting sub

Because it makes most sense. Didak is lacking match fitness, he will be a great sub, come one and give us a burst of brilliance and class.

How is DIdak lacking match fitness? He has played 7 matches in the twos. He has a lot more match fitness than a number of others like Kennedy for instance.

I would have to agree with this.

Kennedy has been sub so often in his short career that he has only had the opportunity to make up his match fitness by running drills and riding a cycle post match. Even tho players claim the intensity is a step down in the VFL, i would argue Didaks VFL match fitness its is quite the step up from one qtr of AFL and some drills and cycle work post match.

Didak as a sub is a fail. He should either play or not bother. He's had 7 vfl games. Stamina won't be his problem it's the foot speed.

The foot speed will drop off as will the intensity just beautifully when a slow & less intense Didak comes on in the last qr & a bit. Didak as a sub, top marks.

Stuff speed, just put him in the forward line where he doesn't need to run much. He can still mark and kick at goal.

If Dids starts as sub then that would be pure stupidity by Bucks. I think he will though which there is no point because he should be given 2-3 quarters and when he is tired sub him off for fresh legs. How is 1 quarter going to help him.

Hope BK does well with a full game, also pretty keen to see how Martin manages at AFL level, thinking he could be a serious footballer for us

We also need percentage

We actually dont need the percentage nearly as much as we did a few weeks back before Freo and Sydny played a draw. Taking two interstate side out of the race for percentage is a massive bonus. We either have more points than them or we dont.

GREAT point. It's all a long way away but if we can keep adding 4 points to our tally, then percentage doesn't become as much a factor in the group of teams we are battling spots 3-6 out with. That draw has done us a very good turn.

Jesus I'm excited for tonight. Picking up some lamb after work to chuck on the BBQ and am gonna have my way with my 80 inch TV, some roast lamb, and some cascade premiums!!
