I think its just an effort to get him around the ball and try and get some confidence back. Here's hoping anyway
He is getting around the ball, but he doesn't quite know when to go for it, when to drop back, when to leave his opponent, when to play on etc. He's playing a new role which he is very uncomfortable in right now.

I think his natural instinct is get the ball at ground level.. chaise it.. get in there amongst it.. so when they throw it up.. he just allows the pill to drop too low.. and he fu**s it up.. tap it at the highest point.. hes confused.. should I grab it.. or tap it.. fu**en get it at it's highest point.. hes not playing like a pure ruckman.

It's like he's caught between 2 minds.

he plays more like a midfielder, so play him as one. Let him ruck around the ground but don’t have him contesting centre bounces, he is a liability to us there.
malthouse did it with Frazer and McKee in the early 2000’s, we should be doing it with Grundy and Cox now . Cox drifts forward after the centre bounce And Grundy to take control around the ground.

Pretty embarrassing that C7 can't get a single football analyst for half-time.

Jobe Watson - there because of his dad
Hamish - there because of his brother

Grundy needs to stop trying to pin point taps. It just doesn't work and it's now painful to watch. He just needs to put it into an area and let the mids go to work.

You mean like he did when Dixon roved his 0.5m tap to his own feet in front that he regularly does.

Need mids moving past him and him to hit areas they are moving too.

I've said some "nasty" shit about Stephenson few days ago while absolutely hammered

I stand by it.

Bet all those Callum Brown knockers are happy now.

True.
So why pay $1 million for an overrated position?
Agree, but to be fair, Grundy's around the ground work is what warranted it as he was a 4th mid who can be a target as well as tackles. His around the ground work has dropped heaps which is concerning.

Yeah how dare he be struggling to get over an illness that has kept some players out of the game for 18 months?
He shouldn't have been selected - he doesn't seem up to it at present.

I will agree. I had glandular fever...without actually catching it (you get 2 sets of antibodies somehow me getting the 2nd set means I fought it off but didn’t “catch it”)

Was the worse 2 weeks I ever had-could barely move my head above the pillow
