Which end is Pies end tonight? Lockett or Coventry? Slightly confused when it comes to away games at Etihad
No matter whether it's a Pies home or away game, the cheer squad is always at the Coventry end, although the whole outer side (not the bench side) will be Doggies reserved seats tonight (well not the whole side, it's the Dogs after all;)).

Had gone completely blank. Cheers mate

What side of the ground has the interchange bench?
The side closest to Aisle 12 or the one closest to Aisle 37 ?

TBH i'm not sure how it's figured out who was which bench though...
We always have the bench to the right (Aisle 11 or 12), mainly due to the fact we always seem to run our of the Coventry end rooms (except for the odd NAB Cup game).

I should be about 2 bays away from the players bench tonight, it's good to see them come off and cool down right in front of you, also gives you the chance to applaud any of the players after they kick a goal (seeing as apart from Cloke or Dawes the rule states that if you kick a goal you go to the bench:cool:).

Well i hope its ours, i have a whole set of cue cards full of motivational things to say to Sinclair.

When dids kicked 3 in a row vs WCE in '10 he never went to the bench.

I remember that, they were going to pull him off after the second, but the bench yelled at him to stay on, he was on fire.:thumbsu:

I think some peeps need to stop counting chickens.
No point saying "if we beat dogs by 8 goals and lions by 10 it'll be good - anything less is failure"...

Let's just focus on winning. It's ridiculous worrying about our percentage when so far this season we're 3-2. We need to just make sure we are 5-2 by the end of round 7 in my opinion.

In saying that, I can't see us losing to the dogs tonight. As people have already said, their forward line is a bit down at the moment. Actually... I'm surprised that they aren't making a play for Trav Cloke. Cause that's what they need!

I think we will win tonight. The scope of that win could be anywhere from 10 points to 100 points depending on player attitudes.
The only concern I have is the ground ball. I think we'll have at least 1 spare man in the backline who is capable of getting the ball if it goes to ground, as they are a very small side this week.

As for the lions game... Let's worry about that when it comes! Remember we barely beat them last year at home and they beat us at the gabba in 2010, so I never count on us belting the lions.

Was definately something special to be there and watch, even though i distinctly remember i was down the other end of the ground

Even the doggies fans don't think we can beat them by more than 40.
their logic is "we lost to west coast by 49 so there's no way collingwood can do better cause they're a worse team"

No they're not. They're mostly saying that if they play against us as well as they did against the Eagles they'll be able to get within 40, however if they dish up what they've been producing the past month against us then it could get ugly.

There's a few who think differently but that's the general consensus from what I've seen. Which is about on the money IMO.

We won't lose by 100 points, Collingwood aren't that good. We were beaten by the best side in the comp by 49 points.

Crowd: 45,329 seat stealing Magpie supporters!

That's what i was basing my post off.

On holidays atm in Koh Samui but have managed to find a bar to watch the game live this arvo, good times. I think Reid will definitely play down back as he's vital to our rebound.

Wouldn't be surprised if Brown starts up forward as someone else said. Their forward line is very small, having all of the talls up there would be a tactical error, but I am sure that the coaching staff are well aware of that.

Expecting a win by 6+ goals, we'd have to be off our game to drop this one.

Fair enough I'd love to see quotes from the others then :thumbsu:

Indeed :)

Yeah i agree with you mate we may actually have a better shot at them, they're no where near as good as a couple of years ago.

mate if they can beat us by 40+ it will be a moral victory for them because WCE only beat us by 49 and they're the best team in the comp!

I think the pies have gone too tall, if our small guys can out run them we may have a shot, they don't look as dangerous as they did.

First goal Cloke last goal Gia
Crowd 48765
Margin the toothless by 43

1st Sidebottom
Last Cloke
Pies by 47
Crowd 47215

I hope I am wrong but I think that this one is going to be ugly. We can't score against decent teams, can't stop anyone from scoring and have been smashed in our 2 games at Etihad.

First goal - Travis Cloke
Last goal - Luke Dahlhaus
Margin - Collingwood by 103 points
Att - 43,755

1st goal - Fasolo
last goal - Sidebottom
Collingwood by 79
49, 731

It's running 50-50, so to say that most supporters don't think we can beat them by 40 is a generalization.
