I love Sidey, knew he'd step it up this season. An absolute gun and my favourite Pie player.

Was it just me or did Lake hold on a lot in marking contests?
Look like it on the TV......
Ah, Johnson did play today.
Sidebottom was better than fairly good, was behind Beams and Pendles for BOG for mine.
Cloke had a poor first half, but had a very good second half, not just the last.
Agree with the rest.
Agree with all the above, but Cloke.
Cloke did well not to give away a few 50's "questioning' the umpire concept of what holding entails.
If it were me there would have been more than a couple of "John Bourke" incidents and at least one umpire eating his dinner through a straw for a few weeks.
Cloke though showed how he has matured as a player and held his tongue.
Indeed
Keefe is definitely a better 3rd tall forward option than Reid.
.
Looks like you picked out three of our posts that were pretty close to correct.
Sorry, couldn't help fixing that for you!Cheers mate.
The Dogs played well, got the ump on us early and made it hard for us.
Hmm seem to have stepped on someones toes hereWhat did you expect from Reid playing forward for the first time in donkeys years? To be next incarnation of Wayne Carey?
Sorry, couldn't help fixing that for you!
WTF was that? Umpires appreciation day, you have to be joking. Does that mean umpires are allowed to show who they barrack for or something? I rarely complain about umpiring but the lack of obvious frees for us smacked of downright cheating. How can Cloke get smashed in the face from front on in a marking contest and get nothing for it? How the hell can Sidey get tackled off the play, held for about 10+ seconds and then wrestled to the ground and still get nothing? I could go on but honestly I don't remember the last time I saw such blatantly one sided umpiring.
Great win.
Cant speak highly enough of the endeavour of the team over the past few weeks.
Good to see Dawes play better this week
Lachie Keeffe has really come of age.
IMO, whilst he has been awesome in defence, he looked just as comfortable in attack.
I really liked the impact he was having on the game in the last qtr in attack when he switched with Reid.
He is such a focal point as a marking target and he created enough spillages for our smalls too.
This is why I have him earmarked to play the Leroy Brown role as the third tall and pinch hit ruck. He is mobile enough around the ground and he has an excellent set of hands. He is also dual sided and composed with ball in hand. His ball use is very good.
Reid can still swing but he looks so settled at CHB.
Saw in the HS yesterday that Pendles only got 1 vote. WTF
I've never like those voting things in the HS and The AGE. Some of those reporters have their favourites.
Everyone banged on about how Griffin was best on ground, watched the whole game last night and didn't notice him that much.
But Jon Ralph has no idea, what do we expect? Apparently Lake gets votes for holding and scragging Cloke in every marking contest.

Griffin was the absolute standout for the Dogs.
Pendles, though, split the chocolates with Beams, Sidey and Shaw, not to mention Swan, with Beams my BOG.
HUN seem to put great stock in Supercoach stats, Griffen 152, Pendles 145, Beams 137, Sidey 131 and Shaw 130.
They have to go by the figures pumped out by the formula for their money spinner though.
Lake only 91 though?
Griffin was good, no doubt, but I think Pendles and Beams (possibly Sidebottom as well) were ahead of him.
