Think it is massively unfair that a club can win a flag and still have a pick in the singles, the kind of pick that is there to benefit teams that are lower on the ladder.

If the argument is that Gold Coast have every right to do what they want with their picks, and so it can go anywhere, then that's all good... but if they're willing to have that privilege then don't come back and ask for priority picks when your tomfoolery comes back to bite you on the ass down the line.
They can have pick 7, but they should be losing someone of similar value off their list to do it.

At the area of the draft you don’t pass on the best player in the draft twice. Fair enough with 1 pick, but could look real bad looking back overlooking him twice.
They've consistently ignored the other areas of the field though. Think they need to look at it.

I'd like to see the focus shift to Graham for a bit of bullocking power inside the contest. Allow Stringer to remain forward as we probably don't get Cadman or Sheezel, as much as I'd prefer. Graham in would mean we can get Wardlaw for the leadership nous (although Graham also brings that), or Phillipou/Clarke/Mackenzie.

They also can't keep Dunkley

But they do want him. He could threaten to go to the pre-season draft if they won't trade him, but he'd probably be picked up before Brisbane's pick. Be interesting to see what happens.

We should trade our future 1st for WCE 2nd overall this year. We will most likely be bottom 6 next year. They want picks next year for WA talent or slip back this year to pick 7 or 8 for Budweiser.

This gives me GC / Melb vibes with Melb trading up to 3 to get Clayton Oliver the pick before us and we took Parish, Francis.

GWS are not trading any picks, they are rebuilding. GWS will take a Forward with pick 4.
Numerous posters who know the depth of talent coming through have already said next year's draft looks better yhan this year's. Also, if we finish bottom 6, which looks very possible, we might be able to have a crack at Reid, who has caused excitement already. I'd rather keep F1.

Depends what career he wants to have after footy but playing for a Victorian club gets you in the spotlight and playing at a successful one means you can call yourself a premiership player forever afterwards. Both of those things are helpful if you want to work in the AFL after your playing career finishes.
Just go to Essendon. They'll keep you on forever, and you probably end up on the board.

Rhys Mathieson has requested a trade from Bris.
What's the bet we end up with him 😅

At this stage the best we can hope for is to manage to get another pick in before 22 and a Davey bid. And also to bring in someone like Setterfield to play a role for the side.

If you listen to Scott's speech, it sounds like he isn't expecting that we'll trade in anyone of note. He said after the trade period and going into next year, we probably will have one of the youngest lists in the AFL. As well, Dodoro has said that the coach search has meant that we're behind the 8 ball as far as trade week goes. Bottom line is, don't get your hopes up. Not much is expected to eventuate.
