What makes you think he'll be in the ones round 1? There's really been no indication of that.

Only way he stays on the list next year is if he turns into Dustin Fletcher in the back half.

I just think the coaching staff rates him a bit higher than the fans do. He played 16 games last year. I don't necessarily think he plays Round 1, but I'd bet he plays more than Baldwin and Caddy combined.

Baldwin out for most of the year dude.

Yeah but that was supposed to be the case last year and he went on to play 16 games. Given I didn't know the extent of Baldwin's injury, I'll change it to guessing he plays more senior games than Jones & Caddy combined.

Was it? He was brought in to be Wright's partner and then injuries basically meant he was the only fit key forward on the list, then got dropped not long after Wright was fit.

No it wasn’t the plan last year ess to play weight and weid together. Wright went down so weid had to stay in to the target once Wright returned and weids form was poor he was dropped and they tried him in defense

Navicular injuries are hard to get right. Across the board. I'd rather be cautious and pleasantly surprised rather than optimistic and disappointed

Don't get me wrong, I'm not cheering for him to play or anything. Maybe - he wasn't dropped til Round 19 and then finished the year in the AFL team ahead of Baldwin.

Absolutely not suggesting he deserves to be playing ones or anything, just that I think what the coaches think and what the fans think is often a long way apart.

Baldwin finished the year in the afl side

They literally gave him an extra 6 weeks last year when he didn’t deserve it to see if he could gel with Wright, it also helped that we were winning at the time. As soon as all that went south he was dropped.
 
Weidemann screams the type of tall we will give another year on the list as depth. The spud should be no where near an afl list.
