What's this facination with Perry Bolt? As a guy who played in the back line last year I can say the buffs had noone who was super special compared to the rest. Unless you have the full forward from strathpine or Logan I'm un impressed with and pickups

Great Call Garry, We'll let Perry Bolt go in a trade for the Logan Full Forward (Reid) he does go all right.

well well well Billy P

Me and all the blokes from other clubs on here

Most have stuck there hand up and pledged alliances to one team or another.

As for you Billy P you said "i went and watched Kedron the other day" does that mean your from kedron or infact from up on the peninsula at Redcliffe?

Lets lay the cards on the table here boys

The Publician - Buffs
Holla7 - Cobras
Cloud of Smoke - Cobras
Snakes Alive - ??????
Roaring Uni Lion - obvious
Lenny 29 - Springwood / beenleigh / Cobras

All that leaves is you Billy P?
I don't, nor will I ever have any affiliation with Logan. Other than blokes I've played previously with now playing there.

I'm a 100% Springwood man who happened to have one year at Beenleigh in which I resembled a 6 foot five potato.

Speaking of Pine River's FF (strathpine), heard on the grapevine he is out for the season  true or false?

Heard a similar thing MaXius, but I thought it might of been that bloke that won the comp B&F last year. Not sure of his name, sorry.
Either way, big loss. both more them handy!

Come on Billy P time for some input?

Your from North of the river and have zero input on Redcliffe or Kedron or Caboolture so its a cert to be Pine Rivers

Eagerly waiting your reply.

Alright back to the real stuff and this weekend poses some great games
Yeronga V Wynnum - Will see where Wynnum is at in 2010. Testing game and one that Yeronga would love to take the chocolates.
Coorparoo V Aspley - Coorparoo were comfortable winners last week and whilst they should comfortably account for the hornets I'm suggesting this is definitely a danger game for them
UQ V Caloundra - Game of the round hands down. Really looking forward to this and hopefully the panthers turn it on and put on a clinical display with all the new recruits. Cash is an out right gun and should slot into the line up quite well. Can play forward or through the middle and is known to take the odd hanger or two. UQ will need to watch him closely.
and finally...
Kenmore V Alex - Hartlett feels they are a 200 point better side than the rest of the comp, well they need to put the bears to the sword this week and flex their muscles. Kenmore will get better as the year goes on with so many changes, however I don't think there is any chance of an upset here. We'll let Hartlett tell everyone how good Alex are and how many goals he might kick this weekend.

Wynnum - 75 points
Coorparoo - 13 points
Caloundra - 28 points (broman are you Cash, or are you just in love with him?)
Alex Hills - 178 points

And so u should be eagerly awaiting my reply....... as does all of Big Footy Land, cause when I speak people, listen up... u will learn something!
But lets focus on the footy hey.

Here's today's lesson:
Div 2
Cab V Calvale = The vale by 31.5
Buffs V Rcliffe = (I really want to pick a nill all draw) But, Buffs by 15
Ippy V UQ = UQ in the upset of the round 20 points!
Robina V Griffith Chickens = Robina will run out of room on the board. (Note Robina have had two home games straight off the bat!! Nice Dougy Nice!)
Logan City V Pine Rivers/S'pine/ now the creatures gone! = Logan by 18

And there u have it!
Oh and Holla and his mates to dominate whatever he puts his little heart to!

Its only a rumor that Dougy and i are close i repeat a rumor.

As for my selections

- Caboolture 30 points
- The Buffs will win hard held against Redcliffe
- UQ the quiet achievers this year over Ipswich
- Robina at home (after getting rolled against the Cobras they will hurt the Roosters)
- Pine Rivers over the Cobras by 5 goals.

I beleive the cobras have played there game for the year against Robina

lets hope it is a good weekend of hard fought games

Hello all, I've served my suspension and I'm back. Firstly, I would like to apologise to publican and holla7 for my crude remarks. I don't know what came over me. I just want to get on with my posting career and talk footy. Hopefully we can put this behind us and move on. While I think the tribunal's decision to suspend me for two weeks was a little harsh, I don't disagree with it. I just hope that similar offences are treated the same.

The Bears are a big shot this weekend. Still missing a couple through injury, but there will be no excuses for us not to give Alex Hills a real shake. We'll only get better as the year goes on. Alex Hills are coming off a victory over uni who I think will probably finish 7th or 8th this season, so not much can be taken from that. We're coming off a loss to Wynnum. Although it was a big loss, I don't think it told the whole story of the game.

My tips are:

Wynnum by 45
Coorparoo by 3
Caloundra by 19
Kenmore by 36

I wish the teams all the best for the coming round of fixtures.

May God be with you all,

Bear_in_there

Bear, care to elaborate as to what you meant by the "We're coming off a loss to Wynnum. Although it was a big loss, I don't think it told the whole story of the game" comment?

Welcome back also!

Thanks for the kind words guys. I probably don't deserve them, but just glad to be accepted into the discussion group again.

My comment about Wynnum was based on two reasons:

1. we didn't have our best 22 playing. In fact, we didn't even have the 22 we picked for the game turn up. One of our guns pulled out with injury and the other didn't show up. The one that just didn't turn up is a very gifted player, but has let the club down numerous times in the past with his lack of respect for his team mates. I'm hoping for the club's sake the coach makes an example of this particular player, but I will say no more on such a public forum.

2. we did match Wynnum in some parts of the game. They are not the team that they were last year. Far from it. Willie Broome was easily shut down by one of our young guys. He looks to have lost a yard of pace. More experienced teams should be able to capitalise on this. Our ability to convert opportunities hurt us, as did our lack of experience in senior football. Couple this with the fact that Wynnum is the hardest ground in Queensland for away teams to win on and I don't think we actually did too badly. The average age of our team would be less than 21.

I'm tipping us to bounce back this week with a solid performance. Hopefully we'll come away with the points.

Bear, I watched you play a few times last year, do you still have that tall drink of water playing for you in the ruck?

Well, Hartlett will be licking his lips by those comments for when they play Wynnum. I did hear around the traps that Wynnum had at least half a dozen walk up senior players out too, so they will be much better in another month or two. Added to which the CHF & FF from last year both played in the ressies as well.
