how do the girls look to be going? We reckon finals and more this year?
Pumped west coast, and the pies in a mud bath.

Will have to see how they go against better opponents. Ball movement and forward structure looks good though so far

Good chance...

...the "if only"...
Thumb Thumbs Down GIF by Fremantle Dockers

I know it's foolish to take anything from preseason games, but those two games — esp. the Pies — lifted my hopes a fair bit. Really had us for bottom 4, but now I can't stop myself from dreaming of a bottom of the 8 spot and a finals campaign that has us crowned by the media as "premiers from out of nowhere".

Just hope the change in captain moves us forward and not backwards . Time will tell
  • Newton, a player from the abysmal Bulldogs into the forward line.
  • McCarthy, an older player from the hopeless Eagles as a starting mid.
  • Pughey, one of our best experienced defenders as a forward.
  • Brazill, an older player into the backline.
  • Debutant TK into defence.
  • Stannett injured, Turbo injured pregnant [thanks DragoDelph]. Our second tall defender Gibbs injured.
  • Multiple replacement of assistant coaches.
But the change in captaincy is the key defining moment of our 23/24 offseason?

Interesting article I read this morning about Gemma Houghton. Does give a better understanding of what was happening with her when she was at Fremantle.

Never begrudged Gemma getting some fresh air.

Cuthbo on the other hand is dead to me.

yep can be KEY, the others are regular things that happen

Voting out a captain is an unknown

So lets see how they respond

yes big loss to the dockers. but cannot begrudge any player leaving. for whatever reason. Whether it health, position in teeam or even money. the time of alwaYS being loyal and a one club player is long gone

So yes appreciare all Cuthbertson did for us as well as Houghton

Eaxch has their own reasons for leaving .

Thankyou for your services ladies. wish we could have kept both o you and some tohers we lossed over the past 4-5 yrs
