The season and pre-season is only a few months long and even then, there's constant trips interstate. It's not that long apart in a relationship, especially with how easy it is to communicate these days. They should be fine and wouldn't be consenting to the trade if otherwise.
Unless the plan is to seek to get traded soon

We will wait and see I guess

Overall disappointed.

North Melbourne did more than us in terms of trading for players and getting the next Irish talent.

Smith, and Banfield is a good outcome but losing Hetherington and Runnells reduces it to a nil all draw.

I am fine with the trade swap but again its a nil all draw.

The outcome is that we haven't improved our list.

Disagree. We had one of the oldest, if not the oldest, lists in the comp for 2024.
We lost no one from the top 10 B&F, brought in a promising key forward (and we know how this board loves those) and built a hand of draft picks in the first ever national draft (deeper pool of available talent).

One of our biggest weaknesses has been skills, and the new generation has had better development opportunities than the older players.

Do we remember last season when roxy left? and the other players? and everyone was freaking out?

Then we made finals?

I do. Good times.

How many spots we got available? 3?

Morro.
Airlie.
Ari.
Flynn.
TK.
Stribley.
Gibbs.
Mulder.

IN - Bella Smith, TK, GBW, Tilly Banfield (Rookie).
TK and GBW were replacement players this season so we had 32, they'll now be on our main list.

4 spots available?
Club emphasised Banfield was on our rookie list - does that matter? I didn't think AFLW had a rookie list so to speak so we may have 5?

Tal can play either end of the ground. Two years with Collingwood then inaugural Sydney signing

23 so still developing but strong enough to compete

Kicked 5 last game of year. Will work nicely with Tighe as second target
Fair enough, I'm looking forward to seeing what she can do then.
