45 for runnalls

Nice!
Don't know about that, what with the proposed Miller situation - just delisted Tuks who was a pick #38, and basically got back on Runnalls what we drafted her for. So hard to find 'nuggets' in the later draft positions based on how young the comp is, how under-developed footy-wise a lot of the ladies are. Last year our highest pick was 49 with Ifould - not sure she has debuted yet, was she injured?! I apologise I didn't follow the women's progressions as much this year due to working commitments and whatnots.

We have had mostly a pick #14 as our highest draft position in recent years and one of them was Franklin. I feel like the women Dockers need a few more top 10 picks, but the system shafts us at every available turn. We seem to have traded well though for the last couple, Newton, Braz and McCarthy were excellent pick-ups, hopefully Bella follows suit. So I guess that equalises it a bit.

I thought Runnalls was sub-par for her career here at Freo (overall); good runner but she didn't offer lot else. I still would have preferred to keep her though for the experience which is limited at this level and super-vital when they have it. Plus the Miller 'thing'. I guess a 45 is about par in the end

There are plenty of AFLW players in relationships in different state teams. I can't remember their names but there's a couple of Victorian women who play for Port and Sydney I believe.
Well, other couples have partners going to see or working on oil rigs. They only see them half of the year as well...

The season and pre-season is only a few months long and even then, there's constant trips interstate. It's not that long apart in a relationship, especially with how easy it is to communicate these days. They should be fine and wouldn't be consenting to the trade if otherwise.
