Can anyone tell me what the contract status is with Grigg? I really, really like her, but I am concerned that she is living with her grandfather, and the rest of the family is interstate, she might be yet another flight risk.

She is unsigned and I have a hunch she will go back to Adelaide and be playing for the Crows or Port next season. Really hope I am wrong though.

Disgraceful that they are making the Women play in 37 degrees heat today, and it's not like they didn't know it was coming.

When they scheduled this game last Saturday, it was already predicted to be 35

Yeah I know many local sports have pulled the plug on today, with the exception being some cricket games. Anything where you have to do a lot of running.

Apparently there is still a road bike race going ahead near me as well. So many bodies have different rules when it comes to heat. The games should have been scheduled for night time with the forecast a week out clearly pointing to a hot one. The AFL have no excuse here.

Add another to the litany of large mistakes made in regards to AFLW this year. Not really sure what Laura Kane's role is other than overseeing poor decisions in AFL and AFLW

I get that there's an enormous variation between what AFLW players get payed and I get a sense that Edmonds has been offered significantly more elsewhere but she's under contract and contracts have to mean something.

If she is in demand, I don't mind adjusting the contract to add incentives and pay her more if she meets those levels but this is line in the sand stuff for the club and they simply can't fold to these types of demands.

This sort of news is why I don’t watch it anymore. I tried.

No continuity with players or team. Same sides keep playing finals.
