Nothing has changed from this afternoon - the Brayshaw meeting appears to be to reinforce Norths position - we will get an answer tomorrow but the media and all of us will need to wait as the club will announce when it’s ready. At this stage it will be by Friday but some sources saying Thursday if it’s positive. I don’t know exactly. All I can say is that I have had nothing but positive messages this afternoon. We are very close.

What I don't understand is how folks get masses of info on the subject.
I had a 20min discussion with them and found out f all.
They are happy Noble left, and 12-18months ago our players did not have weights programs. They do now.

Exactly. Posters ripping into ITK because their deadlines have changed don’t understand that shit has indeed changed and that *essendon could be sacking their coach. This wasn’t relevant and in play before Sunday night.

As for Clarkos ultimate decision? When his own flesh and blood don’t even know where his old man is coaching, what does that tell you?

Let’s then look at quotes from the man and his management so far and use logic.
There is only one job available right now. Ours.
Clarko has always said that he’ll make his decision in late August (which I have interpreted as 20th August onward).
He literally is just doing his due dilligence on us because our history isn’t great with finals success and he want to succeed.
That’s why we’re in the box seat because we have been open to making it work and I have no doubt Sonja is working hard to make it happen.

The fact Rutten is still in a job says all we need to know about where the Bombers are on all this.

Patience. If we don’t find out Friday/Saturday then we will get an answer early next week IMO. Maybe even leading up to finals. The reason that Friday has been touted as decision day is because round 23 begins and the seasons essentially over for 10 clubs.

There may well be a soft deadline, and Team Clarko may well respect that and communicate their intentions to us.

The idea that we'd immediatley communicate that outcome to the media/wider world is a very different beast though.

I imagine Essendon would leak it from their side the second they find out.

The big rush seems to be the perceived lack of a back up plan.
Any coaching panel we could assemble currently would say get Clarko or they are idiots.
Worry about ifs and buts later on IMO.
