Was at a local footy game that hodgey played at 5 weeks ago as I got there guess who was in there - none other then our great mate clarko - if anyone knows him it’s hodgey so for me that’s a positive. Does it gurentee him - hell no but at least he’s opinion holds weight because of how close they are

My favourite anecdote of this entire process is that “we haven’t even got a coach selection panel if Clarko goes elsewhere” 🤣

Of course we’ve got one you buffoons - they just aren’t rolling it out to mainstream media, same way you haven’t heard a thing from our camp on clarko.

Let Caro dribble on national TV - Sonja couldn’t care less about that superficial hog wash. Remember - she’s actually a football person, not a sensationalist.

WTF!! Go stand by the lift.

Goodness me FFS

Some are. Can personally vouch for them, won't say who. The key is, good ITK isn't just x or y is happening, it's context. And because he hasn't made a decision yet and who knows what it will be, all we have is context. It's vital.

Most of this stuff is happening behind closed doors, between people with long histories, involving events most of us don't know about.

I have worked and been involved in the highest levels of goverment - a punter might see a policy, but they'll never know the whole story. Which stakeholders are at war, which leverage so and so has, which secret deals influence and dictate.

The Essendon board are in a full blown shooting match with each other, in public. Whether they get their s**t together in time or at all dictates the outcome.

Listen to the context.
I suppose i am third hand ITK.
My mate knows a member of our medical staff.
What I don't understand is how folks get masses of info on the subject.
I had a 20min discussion with them and found out f all.
They are happy Noble left, and 12-18months ago our players did not have weights programs. They do now.
Other than that they know nothing about who is coaching next year.

Wouldn’t shock me if Clarkson has already reached out to him about coaching next year.

Weirdly, the things he says Essendon would need to guarantee Clarson are the things they seem unlikely to be able to deliver - internal unity, no interference from directors or coteries.

"Essendon are the sensible choice for Clarko, they just need to stop being Essendon for it to work out."

Doesn't strike me as the most intellectually rigorous argument.

Everything's zen.

Yep. Just here for the meme's and the lol's now.

Wondering if Alistair is also seeing how we handle the pressure ? To see if we buckle. To see it we implode with leaks. Hopefully he doesn’t read this board 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Yep, he's certainly creating more drama than Home and Away. I think that we'd all be horrified if he went to the Filth. Particularly as he played for us during our last golden era and those "Battles of the marshmallows". The verbal jousts between Pagan and Sheedy. Ahhh, the good old days.

One is that the Kangaroos will give Clarkson as much control as a coach can have in 2022, making him Denis Pagan redux. While handing a coach near-total control is often unhealthy, it is hard to see how Clarkson wouldn’t exercise that power at Arden Street.

North are approaching Clarkson on bended knee. The relationship will therefore be on his term

Have a read of this crap SERIOUSLY what are these jokers on

I couldn't believe it. Journos have always alluded to it, but I've never heard them explicitly say, "North only deserve the 'best of the rest'" until now.
