btw Foley number 1 in clearances in the AFL. No 1 in sharking opposition ruckmen in the AFL - GUN.

I never said he wasn't any good just that he wouldn't be a staritng Midfielder in a few teams.
You still didn't tell me who he would replace in those examples I gave.

I'm ot comparing them at the same age I'm saying ATM he would not be in the top 4 midfielders at either West Coast or Geelong.

As for being the Number 1 sharking playing inthe AFL he would have to be given Richmond never win he hit out if he didn't shark the opposition tap he would never get a stat.

C'mon mate Bartel can brush a tag, Mclean can't. Bartel is gonna be just as good and consistant over the next few years and is without a doubt a better player than Foley, when Foley got tagged in the second half against Geelong he hardly got a touch.

Look Bartel has impressed me to no end but remember everyone looks good in a flying side. Everytime Hawthorn wins they are all hero's, but when they lose people call for their heads. That's why I struggle with Bartel and Ling because where were they last year?

Corey is one who does it no matter what as does Ablett, but i do hear your point.

Only a years difference in age between Foley and Ablett. You would have to say Ablett was probably just as good if not a bit better at the same age.

Foley is a shoe in Pheonix. Most people have no idea on here and just copy the common view. Foley is top 10 in the AFL this year and would walk into the midfield of any team.

Oh and Hodge2Franklin. Thankfully you're not a selector with your blatant contradictions. Firstly you pay people out for being like sheep and copying common view, then you decide you won't put Foley in your own team...and then go a step further and throw a couple of controversial selections in like Davey and Brennan in to spark more debate, because you seem to have a passion for dribbling s##t to get a reaction.

If Chad Cornes gets picked at CHB then it is an insult to anyone who has played that position to a high standard.

It is also an insult to Cornes because he has been a top 2 midfielder in the AFL this season.

If the selectors disagree then they should name him on the bench, not cop out and stick him in a position he played last season and maybe twice in 07.

Brisbane has Merrett (FB),
Collingwood maybe O'Brien (CHB),

Bulldogs - Harris (FB)
Hawthorn - Croad (CHB)
Kangaroos - Firrito (FB) Watt (CHB)
Port - Thurstans (CHB)
Sydney - Bolton (CHB)
WCE - Glass (FB)

Scarlett is a lock for FB IMO.

By my reckoning that leaves a possible choice from -

Egan, Obrien, Fletcher, Croad, Watt, Thurstans and Bolton for the CHB spot.

Thurstans and Egan surprise contenders here? I believe both have a strong case.
