At the end of the day awards like MVP award, Brownlow Medal, All-Australians, Mark of the Year, Goal of the Year etc etc are all OPINION awards. Yes they are all special and unique in their own way but at the end of the day it comes down to opinions etc and there will be players who miss out every year. It's a shame but I guess that's how it is. The only award that is not based on opinion is the Coleman Medal - clear cut that award is.

Just on that. Usually when they haven't selected 2 pure ruckmen they have had a forward that part time rucks like a Petrie or Roughhead. I dont think any of the other players that are selected have rucked before which is interesting. I'm not bothered by the Naitanui exclusion either I had him at about a 50/50 chance.

Because he should be in the 22... Missing the 40 is irrelevant..
Getting suspended twice and missing 5 games probably doesn't help either. He wasn't even close to an AA spot this year.
