Correct. The plan was always to broadcast the show on ESPN in Aus when the original announcement was made.

Grand Slam Australia to be taped Collision episode.

Probably the best we could've hoped for at this stage, at least it's not a barely-canon house show.

That said, I can't help but be concerned that booking Ricochet vs Swerve for Dynamite the week before shows their level of commitment to the show.

What are the odds of a Ospreay/Omega V Fletcher/Takeshita at Grandslam?? I'd need a spare pair of underwear if I got to witness that... I'd be happy with Omega V anyone, but I assume they'll keep the singles bouts for Revolution, but an Omega/Fletcher match would be top notch.

great to see Megan Bayne (finally), but the Women's Casino gauntlet was a bit disappointing.

Bit harsh on Max, IMO. Only reason it was poor was JJ couldn't remember half of what he was supposed to say, and then just looked shit cos he was trying to one-up MJF. Max's promo was the reason I started liking him in the first place, rude, disrespectful and bordering on truth.

The 'last face of the company before it goes out of business' line was a classic.

Hurt Syndicate vs Private Party for the tag titles

The Patriarchy vs Samoa Joe, Shibata and Hook

Daniel Garcia vs Adam Cole for the TNT title (I thought this was hinted at a possible future match-up following that little segment highlighting last week's Casino gauntlet).

Mariah May vs Toni Storm

Buddy Matthews and Brody King doing... something. Possibly a match against Pac and Claudio? They could be weaved into the Rated FTR vs Deathriders fued pretty easily considering Copeland was giving King a rah rah speech last week on Collision.

Does MJF vs Jarrett happen here?
Also, no idea what Hangman will be up to following the Christopher Daniel's match.

I was almost certain we were getting a late swerve and Toni Storm would face Mone instead. That could legitimately main event the show.


That's a strong card. Surely they aren't coming all the way down under for a 2 hour throwaway show with only 5 matches. They'll want to make an impact. Also, none of these matches are necessarily the 'money' matches that they'd be saving for Revolution anyway. You could run Mox vs Cope back again if you wanted to.
Ricochet vs Swerve is probably the only one that they could potentially hold off on, unless they want the third match, the blow off, at Revolution instead.

I agree that Buddy will be on the show somewhere.
I had thought we would be getting Jay White vs Wheeler Yuta. Nothing happened on that one today, but I think White is going to be on the show.
If we get the Death Riders, I don't think it'll be anything huge, I don't think we're getting the Cope title match on a Collision special. Maybe Mox, Claudio & PAC vs Cope & FTR with a stipulation.
With it being so early in the storyline, I don't know that Joe/Hook vs Christian/Nick Wayne is that interesting if it did happen.

Swerve vs Ricochet would excite me more than any of those matches, but I don't think we're getting it, and I'm devastated that it was announced for Dynamite a week before.

I know AEW are going to smaller arenas, but 1.5k is way too small (unless it's the Hammerstein Ballroom). They should find some places that fit 3-5k.

That Jericho promo was freaking awful.

Prince Nana hitting Ricochet with the chair and then immediately dancing was hilarious.

maybe their “research” is saying people won’t buy tickets for tv that far out and they want to have something announced? Remember there was some sort of embargo that you can’t announce information for something like 6-8 weeks after WWE has been there?
