That was some carnie shit right there, makes sense why it wasn't the main event. Wonder where they are taking the angle, or if it's simply Punk hasn't healed as expected.

OK, a lot of questions out of that, legit injury, not ready to come back, or on his way out?

You would think it would be legit, but then why have it second last not first or last on the card? Thinking he's either retiring or as mickelboy182 said, hasn't healed.

Must have wanted to have a quick match to hand the title over rather than relinquishing.

The nature of it though with such a quick match is the sort of thing you would also see when a guy drops the strap on his way out. If that's it, then what a massive disappointment.

Worked or not just the placing on the card was ******* weird with the build. Can't understand how it doesn't open or close.

Probably should have opened with it, but it's a bit of a poisoned chalice in that it definitely sucked the life out of the crowd. I don't think there was a 'good' spot for it to be honest. Interesting to see how it unfolds.

Should have just left it as the main event. It was obvious something screwy was happening when they brought the match forward from the PPV. Was made even more obvious when it was announced it wasn't the main event.

Punks obviously not ready to work yet, just look at his massive limp and how careful he is when moving around and jumping from the turnbuckle.

Good riddance to one of the worst title runs in history. Can’t help injuries but put a fork in the old man he’s not a needle mover just use him as a special attraction on the odd occasion

CM Punk turning his heel and getting "injured," I see what he did there. :p

The main event was excellent, one of the best Dynamite main events of all time IMO. :thumbsu:

Does that actually make it better though? Main event starting with 5 minutes left absolutely confirms its a work, screwy finish which people hate ending the show.... I don't think that's an improvement over the middle.

It should've kicked off the show, you sell it as having the full 1-hour time limit available and that these 2 cannot wait to get at each other and settle it. Then it's an even bigger surprise when it's a 5-minute squash. Coming at the halfway mark, you could tell something was off, it's obvious the match isn't going to go 1 hour when you've still got the trios match to come.

The guy was on a pretty good run before he got injured. He also showed he’s still decent in the ring.
