Omega had only been back a few weeks, Punk was injured for most of the summer & the Bucks were in a holding pattern waiting for Omega to return.

When this run of shows was originally being promoted, Punk and the Elite were front and centre on the bill. Now, they are not there. I'd be pretty pissed at buying a ticket and then finding that 3 of the main attractions are not there because of backstage shenanigans.

The press release says exclusively AEW and “international partners” so I presume it’ll be 0 US Indy dates, but more $ to compensate. Probably smart as the last thing AEW needs is Moxley participating in more matches whilst AEW champ, that involve spots where his opponent implies they’re masturbating whilst Moxley chokes them.

Wwe, while still obviously having crowd mics, they put the music into the tv feed, whereas aew is tinny and frankly hard to hear - appearing to just be whatever the effect mics pick up in the crowd.
Maybe it's more like "being there" but it just feels a bit more budget when watching on tv.

Just another thing that makes WWE feel sterile to me, so it's certainly a preference thing.

Funny how all these years later DX ( the other night) and Billy Gunn are more over than 70% of the current day wrestlers.

The only knock ill mention is in a week where the hype of Bray Wyatt and Brock Lesner return to the wrestling world AEW have QT Marshall featured in a match , Matt Hardy in a segment setting up a match and Spears returning under the NXT gimmick was very meh. I know he got a good pop due to being Canadian but just thought with the hype of the wrestling world this week might have been a good occasion to put on a night of bangers utilizing Claudio, Miro, Sammy, Darby etc but not to be.

FTR are so over right now and rightly so best tag team in the world!
