Re: Why is Wellingham speaking to Gubby??

You walked up to him and questioned him over why he was having lunch with someone? Jesus christ, could you be a bigger sperg?

I'm pretty sure he said it again a week or so ago on NOVA???

Oh wait, you're meaning he said he'd be signed by the middle of the year and wasn't, and now he's saying before finals...

Very true he said Middle of the Season and he did not sign so his Word has lost a bit

Sharrod is the last person that should bail not he club after all the shit he's pulled. Sure, he's making up for it now but poor form if he does leave. This is why i find it hard to believe

Don't think he would. Matty Lloyd said last week that Freo offered to double Sharrod's salary for the 2010 season and Sharrod told them he preferred to stay with us for half the money. Amazing that a player would turn down such an increase that would also have taken him back home.

Choko Williams is a big fan, but After hearing Lloyd's info, I doubt he would leave.

That is great to hear. Sharrod always struck me as a bloke that would prefer to be happy where he was working and with what he was doing. He only decided to focus on footy over skateboarding in his draft year. Up until then he was happier skateboarding.

COLLINGWOOD'S big three - Scott Pendlebury, Dane Swan and Dale Thomas - have been assured multi-year, multi-million-dollar offers await them from GWS.

"If Eddie McGuire wants to talk about Scully, he ought to watch his own backyard," Sheedy said.

"Pendlebury, Thomas and Swan are all superstars. I would be very surprised if Gubby Allan (football operations manager) could not get one of them. They are the type of player we are after."

:thumbsu:

He dun goofed.

Scott Pendlebury bats away contract talk as Greater Western Sydney circles

Asked if he would prefer to lock in a new deal with Collingwood early next season and quash any speculation, Pendlebury was non-committal.

"It's up to my management and the football club to work something out," he said.

"My focus now is on training right up until the Christmas break and getting a really solid pre-season in because I'm not going to worry about that sort of stuff. It can all change pretty quickly if I don't get a kick next year."

I Still Worry that he could still GO to GWS if they Offer the Mega-Bucks That he is Worth.

This is going to happen until he Re-Signs or Leaves

Re: Scott Pendlebury bats away contract talk as Greater Western Sydney circles

I think Pendles  is up to his old tricks again..I don't know if Pickers is running the show but Pendles obviously is the boss...he did the same early this year but there was Swanny, Daisy. Clokey etc etc now there's more focus on him so who knows what he's up to...personally I take my hat off to all the other lads that could've gone for the bigger bucks :thumbsu:

Re: Scott Pendlebury bats away contract talk as Greater Western Sydney circles

Lame. This ties in with what my mate said about a month ago. He goes to uni with Tooves, he said Toovey told him that Pendles was gaawn after this yr. Dunno maybe Tooves was just stirring knowing my mate was a pies fan. Hopefully he's just tryin to get as much cash as possible :(.

Re: Scott Pendlebury bats away contract talk as Greater Western Sydney circles

Arguably the best player available on the market next year, and GWS has an infinite pot of AFL gold. You'd have to be naive to just assume he'll stay with us.

Re: Scott Pendlebury bats away contract talk as Greater Western Sydney circles

get nervous if he hasnt signed by round 23, not now.

I'd be more worried about Reid joining his brother in NSW.

The lure of being a futuer captain of collingwood would be huge and grant big media dollars to help pendles stay

edit - props for me to writing for well when im wasted and cant hear!1!!!!!

I can't help it, i just can't picture him in any other colour that isn't black and white.
