Not so sure. I'm quite confident the we'll keep Daisy but the whole GWS thing appears to be to bump up the star players prices, then grab the youngsters not on much money, and triple their pay.

The Suns got these guys last year:

Gaz Jnr $1.5M
Brennan $700k
Rischitelli $500k
Bock $500/$600k
Harbrow $500/$600k
Brown $500/$600k
Fraser $200k
N.Krakouer $300/$400k

That's about $5Mish. The salary cap is $8M + extra $1M. Drafting 30/35 players at minimal wages allows you plenty of more space to grab good players.

I'll feel comfortable when about 8/10 players have signed on with GWS.

I know Macaffer is a good player & was super in the finals but if he's the one we lose I'd be so happy. Ben Reid is the one I'm worried about the most. I think the window next year will cause some problems. Pendels only signing a one year extension is still a big worry.

spot on. i have posted this before on one of these threads but the the suns know that they have no chance of getting thomas - the uncontracted collingwood player they are really into is ben reid for 2013. pies must keep him at all costs. i'd be concerned if the suns were able to get their hands on his brother from the swans thereby adding the lure of them being able to play together

HA when has brennan ever been good? He is a soft lazy outside player that i would NOT want at collingwood and for him to be on 700k is ludacris

With Davis signed and will play CHB for GWS, Carlile apparently to follow he will play FB. This may help us retain Reid as he undoubtedly knows that he is first choice here at Collingwood for as long he wants it.

He's on $1 million plus, however its outside the salary cap (he reverts to being under the cap after the initial contract expires) due to him being signed on as a non-registered player in the past 3 or 5 seasons, don't know what length it is. I believe the only other players in the league to have been signed up under that rule are Karmichael Hunt and Lachlan Keefe.

What Big Name Would You Rather Lose To GWS?

Our 2 Big Names being linked to GWS are Ben Reid and Dale Thomas.

So I was wondering if it became between the 2 we had to lose 1 which one would you Choose?

I would think Daisy would be the one I would rather lose out of the 2 because CHB's are hard to Find Bye but Players like Daisy can be more easily Fined. Not saying they would be as good as Daisy but can be that Type.
