For me it must be Hogan... he took wrestling from being a regional side show to an international spectacle and it was his fan base that allowed the then WWF to take wrestling to pay per view. Always have rated Austin though... those two better be there for WMXX

i think the question should be re-worded. Most of you have said your favourite "sports entertainer" and not wrestler. If anyone at all thinks that the rock or hogan are even decent wrestlers then mick foley isn't a tough guy. For the record, my favourites are:

Wrestler - Chris Benoit
Entertainer - Goldust
Worst Wrestler - Kevin Nash

I havent watched the wrestling for ages so i have no idea who the new guys/girls are, so i can only say who my favorites where when i was watching it, and thats gotta be the rock(he's my number 1) and stone cold.

The Rock- Great on the mic and his wrestling skills have improved quite a lot. He is a fantastic athlete. He has his critics among wrestling fans. Has been called a sell-out but his absence has coincided with a drop in the ratings and crowd sizes of the WWE.

Ultimate Warrior- Going back to the late eighties here. Still remember those great matches with Hogan. Both were faces at the time and he actually was put over clean by hogan.

Batista- This guy is a fav of mine, i met him at the fan day(access?) b4 the night at colonial stadium last year. I played against him on the x-box and beat him and he jokingly told me not to do that again as he would tear me apart. I do admit to near ****ting myself untill he started to laugh and shook my hand. Super bloke and is built like a tank. And doesnt JR like to keep reminding us. He needs to work on his mic skills but he has a presence in the ring. Big future if he works hard enough.

all time fave would have to be Randy Savage...i still remember when he came on te scene and was looking for a manager and all the managers at the time (Fuji, Blassie, Heenan, Hart, Slick) were waiting for his signature...he then picked Elizabeth...

another fave was the Funkster....as hardcore as they get.......

Other faves- Rock, Jericho, Austin, Angle - all know how to work the crowd with mic work and in the case of Y2J and Angle, great wrestling ability

SD Jones, Sandy Beach, Barry O, the Conquistodors, Mario Mancini - God Bless the humble jobber

Joe Mirto - the humblest jobber of all:D

Don't watch the wrestling now, I can't work out what happened after the WWF and WCW were competing.

There are titles I've never heard of.

I'm from the 80s-90s and my fave is The Ultimate Warrior. The gorilla press was awesome. Plus he had head-banger style music, and was insane when he hit the ring. Made quite an impression on a young kid!

His matches against Hercules, Rick Rude and Hogan were great. It's a pity he disappeared.

My other favourite is the Randy Savage. He turned from good guy to bad guy and back a few times. Loved the flying elbow drop. I didn't realise it was him in Spiderman until I heard the voice.

Macho Madness...ohhhhh yeeeeaaaah!

Favorite all time wrestler: Ric Flair...the period where he feuded with Steamboat and then Funk culminating in the I Quit Match was sensational. His promos & matches were awesome.

Favorite all time tag team: Midnight Express. A friend showed me Clash of the Champions 1 and that was the reason I got into wrestling in the first place.

Current favorite: Not into wrestling as much as I used to be but I always have time for Jericho. Superb on the mic and in the ring...should be given a long run as champion if it was up to me.

The Undertaker. Mainly up until Royal Rumble 1994, he was magic. The crowd noise when the lights went out that night...

HBK 2nd. That ladder match with Razor is the best i've seen i think.

Hart was awesome to watch although i was never a huge fan of him at the time, but now i really like him on reflection. We used to all practice the sharpshooter at lunch time at school :D

The Rock cracks me up these days.
