Just watching 9s Sunday sports program (not just footy) and Kochie had a good run from the panellists as they dissected Gil McDuffer's comments about hush money.

I think Kochie and Sunrise being mentioned a few times on 9 and the unfavourable comparison of the AFL's treatment of SPP to their own Execs and the deep sixed Freo case is gold to Kochie.
Kochie played the game beautifully. Threw the rock in the water then said sorry for the rock while no one thought about the ripples. He was highly praised for using a platform other than Sunrise then doubling down with Eddie on MMM.

Ha ha, before I pressed the play button I thought did McLacklan say "tenants" or "tenets"? I'm sure with his expensive private education he would have said the right thing...

"Tenent" is a semi-acceptable obsolete form of "tenet", but in any case whoever did the transcription ****ed up.

Yeah more than that. The discussion continued on for an entire segment between ads.

At least Mr Lisa Wilkinson only opened his mouth for 11 seconds.

As a rugger bugger, he no doubt had an expensive private education too. I just can't take him seriously with that stupid red hankie on his head - I looked up whether there was any deep and meaningful significance to it, but it's just his middle finger to the world mid-life crisis thing and his kids and missus thought it looked great.

Yeah, I too investigated that and the answer was far more dull than I was expecting.

Watching The Chase and John Riddell's dumb bald head keeps popping up with "WHY PORT WON"T HAND OVER EVIDENCE". **** that guy, the club should revoke his membership.
John was at the post-game function at Etihad. When he was introduced to draw the raffle, there wasn't a chorus of boos, but it wasn't far off. There was certainly unrest from the crowd and he was clearly uncomfortable. He drew the raffle quickly, then disappeared off the stage.

In his role, he simply has to read what is on the auto-cue. I imagine he would be quite uncomfortable with it, you would think?

Case of don't shoot the messenger

I've spoken to John Riddell at the club many moons ago and thought he was a Port person. Will stand corrected. Unlike Channel 7's effing stories, editors and autocue writers.

He is. John reads an auto queue and doesn't ad lib the stories.

As I said to Eddie Dingle last week, when there is a bad news Port story, that is outside the sports section of the news, he doesn't read them, Jane Doyle gets them. Riddell gave the intro to the KT presser story but the intro was watered down compared to week 1 of the saga when Doyle gave the intro's. He does get the feel good stories like Paddy Ryder catching a thief.

Boak continues to lead off field again as seen in the way he is helping SPP

The captain has also been crucial in supporting Powell-Pepper who was banned for three games by the AFL for being drunk in public and making inappropriate contact with a female at a nightclub on April 8. “I’ve just tried to educate him on a few things,” Boak said.

“Sam is a wonderful guy, if anyone saw the person he is behind the scenes. I’ve had family over constantly and he’s never met them before but the first thing he did was hug them, he’s just a really good guy. “Then from there I’ve just tried to be there for him. He’s had a lot of heat come on him from the media or fans through social media and external stuff, it’s a lot for a 20-year-old. “I’ve got my sister and her boyfriend there as well giving him support and they were amazing for Sam and he was so grateful for it, he’ll come out a better person for it.”

Same with Aber - I shouldn't think he enjoys having to read out propaganda either.

Dittmar was pathetic years ago and it had nothing to do with auto cue, he admitted himself that he wasn't brave enough to say what he really felt, or even suggest it, so he became just another C7 sycophant.
I haven't watched their news for years and don't know if he is still employed by them, not that I would care either way, and I haven't seen or heard Aber for ages either.

Last week when Abernathy was throwing back to Riddell after the sports they had that stupid bantz and made facetious comments about the AFL and Port needing to sort their shit out. I hardly doubt that would of been scripted. Anyone associated with 7 Adelaide is toxic in my eyes even if they are just reading from an auto queue.

He sat behind the cheer squad - well he was there after the final siren & that’s when I saw him

LYON AT CENTRE OF DOCKERS PAYOUT CASE: REPORTS
he Age is reporting Fremantle coach Ross Lyon is at the centre of an alleged harassment payout.

The report states the Dockers have reached a confidential settlement with the former junior staff member, who alleges Lyon made inappropriate comments about her attire at a club Christmas function.

The Age says the payment is believed to be a “low five-figure sum.”

Enjoy your AFL forced 3 week suspension, Ross.

Lol, can you imagine. #consistency

We're not falling for that

AFL chief Gillon McLachlan said at a media conference in Perth on Friday that the AFL was "entirely comfortable with what's happened at Fremantle".
"Our integrity unit has looked at it and ruled out imposing any sanction. Every aspect of the case was looked at ... almost immediately when the complaint came to life," McLachlan said.
