Put Tommy Turbo at FB, or Mitchell when fit. I reckon Teddy is a shadow of what he once was.

Also NSW have spent 15 years wasting that utility bench spot... Giving them 10 minutes at the end of the game to play out of position and expecting them to have an impact is insane. Always a young player/ player on debut as well.

To be fair I posed the question of whether they should pick Edwards instead and got howled down by most before the game. Even I thought Teddys last game probably did enough to warrant him keeping the 1.

I think Hynes/Cleary should have been the combo tonight but to be fair Luai was actually very good tonight. Him and Martin probably the two best for NSW

had a hand in 2 of our tries, got what should have been an important set restart for us. Wasn't a 10/10 but was pretty good, in saying that Hynes/Cleary was the obvious selction coming in to the game for everyone except Brandy and Freddy

trell is the best FB in the game right now. He should be picked there first.
It must be a bit rubbish being a centre at Origin time (and there's a fair few good centres in the comp); when Origin comes round, the centre berths are stuffed with surplus halves, full-backs...
Despite Blues' weight of possession in the first half, QLD looked much more a team to me. Great defensive efforts from both Maroons wingers. Walsh was very good. I don't know how Luai (who, despite criticism, was actually one of NSW's better performers, IMO) and Tedesco both missed that tackle. Terrific play from Lindsay Collins.

Fair call, although he’s also really ****ing good in the centers and seems to just be pigeon holes there.
Will Trell be ready by game 2? Not sure QLD wins if he plays tonight he almost certainly finds a way to get over once or twice with all the ball and field position the blues had

As a neutral observer to nrl who just happened to go because it was in my home city and knowing the west tigers were minimal chance of getting rolled on the night, one observation I made was that NSW tended to play as too many individuals and not use their team mates where as QLD played a predominately team game. NSW cost themselves 2 tries in the first half due to selfishness

Keep picking the same blokes Fittler and wonder why you keep losing. Couldn’t even win with a bloke in the bin for 10 and Ben Hunt playing centre. Never know Freddy just an idea stop picking blokes from sides in awful form.
Can't disagree. Has to change it up for the next game.
