Which naturally explains why they got smashed for I50s, contested possessions, et cetera.
We had 8 of our best 22 out, that went to nine after Lovett-Murray decided to land on Priddis' head before quarter time.

No excuses though, you won fair and square, more than happy to play you in finals.:thumbsu:

And Essendon had guys out too.

Your outs were very forward centric. Our midfield smashed yours before you could get the ball forward.

And how sure are you history is repeating? If it does not repeat you will crawl into a hole never to resurface, if it does you'll be beating your chest and big noting yourself. You seem to be taking a "this is Essendon for eternity" approach where until proven wrong you'll bleat the same message.

My comment was based on your "The entire post is the glass is half full stuff while and ignoring that the glass is also half empty" comment, nothing to do with Myers playing a half.

If you can't see a difference between the last few seasons and this season then I can't help that.

Well one of us will be correct. See you at the finish line.

This thread is rather funny. Granted Essendon should not have lost to Melbourne, but they did. It was a wet, greasy night and they tried to play flashy hand-ball footy. Massive mistake. The Essendon powers that be need to teach those guys how to play gritty 'kick it long to the line' footy at the MCG in the wet. A lesson we're much better to learn now against Melbourne than get smashed by a big team.

Sydney was just frustrating. Looked the better all night but could not kick straight. Won just about every stat for the night, but could not kick straight!! Annoying. Sydney deserved to win, but I took a lot of confidence that Essendon could pile on 9 goals in a quarter against the ladder leaders. The last quarter at that, when teams are meant to be spent. Weaponisation is coming along well.

As for the rest of this year. Essendon are doing just nicely. No medals handed out in June are there? We have the best mid-field in the competition and just need to get on top of the two ends of the park and we'll come in to play.

I said all along Essendon are 5-8 and may even sneak a top 4 if they're fortunate. This pretty much sums up 99% of Essendon supporters and about 90% of the footy world. Why the stupid thread???

Best mid field in the comp? Wow that is almost as good as that power house destructive midfielder - Myers.

The Roos should be on top of the ladder - 1 meter V the Bombers - win, Dominated Swans in the last quarter but did not kick straight - win, should have put Port away after domintaing 90% of the game - win, the Dogs caught us at a good time coming back from WA - win, 13 points down at 3/4 time V WCE in WA - umpires cost us the win as we were the better team - win. We should be on top of the ladder with 10 wins and 1 loss!!!!

Excuses are fun......

The way you hide under a rock and come out after Essendon loses is even funnier. Or more pathetic. Depends on which side you take.

How is North Melbourne going these days? Do you care now?

So you don't want to answer the question that relates to the thread and you would prefer to discuss the Roos?

Sometimes by saying nothing you tell us alot - thanks.

Still doesn't change the fact that your best footy is nowhere near as good or destructive as the Bombers best though, does it?
You can comfort yourself all you want with if's, buts & blind hatred, but deep down you know the Roo's are nowhere near it development or list wise.

True - 2 points more destructive.

Is this you David Destructive Myers?
