Andrew Gaff - Best second year player I have seen at the club

Gaff is from Kew in Victoria and played junior footy at the Oakleigh Chargers..Same team as Luke Shuey was recruited from.

Last time I went by there was was a billboard of Gaff at one of the junctions in Kew.

As for when has Gaff turned a game, the Saints game last year when we didn't kick a goal in the first is the one that springs to mind. This isn't saying that there are heaps, or even several, but it's one I remember.

Gaff is up against NicNat, Cousins and Judd for that honour and he's not out of the frame*. Gun

Don't think Gaff beats Cousins/Judd for best 2nd year player, but geeze he continues to impress.
Used to his normal running speed on the wings of Subi, then during the Lions he just turned on the afterburners.
Would love to see him do that more.

Surprised more people don't mention Jakovich.

In his second season, at age 19, Jakovich held down CHB in a premiership side. Consider that structural importance to a side that played some massive games that year.

In terms of pure output he's arguably in our top 2-3 but in terms of quality he's easily overshadowed by Judd Cousins Kerr etc.

Fyfes biggest question mark is his consistency by foot, Gaff almost doesn't have any, very solid player

First of all, stats aren't everything. Shuey is much more damaging than Fyfe, you can't determine that through stats. Second of all, why only compare five stats?
