What makes this hit worse is that the young 18yo player wasn't even aware he was going to get hit. It isn't like him and Gaff were framing up to be aggressive. He just wacks a young player right in the jaw for nothing. Pathetic. If it isn't worse than what Cameron got the AFL is a joke.

It's not like he was flat footed and winded up to punch him in the face. He was trying to push him off and stretched out his arm with a closed fist. Just happened to hit him in the wrong spot which has caused blood to spill. Would be surprised if anything is broken and if it is, it's simply because he got him in the wrong spot

Aside from it looking nothing like that,

AFL has never cared about justifications such as "wrong spot". See the many many lengthy suspensions of players that never intended the result that occurred. Facts are there was a swing of a fist, a good connection to the head and plenty of blood flowing.
