This wasn't some sort of photoshopped meme. This guy was interviewed by multiple news organisations saying the same thing. Whether or not it is fake is another thing, but it's not a 4chan meme or deliberately fake photoshopping..

Imagine being the parent of a school aged kid in the US, knowing there's a chance that on any given day they could be killed in that way.

Same odds as getting hit by a bus walking to school. Are you not going to allow them to walk alone?

First of all it's a 0.0001% chance the school your kid is at is involved then it's a 0.01% chance your kid is killed even if it happens to be that school. It's horrendous bad luck if someone you know is involved.
