The latest Resolve polls are out with Albo and the Alp in massive trouble. The key states NSW and Vic are catastrophic with Dutton the preferred leader and the labor vote at only 25 and 27%. This is heading towards a total wipeout. I’m staggered that the Australian people would go back to the Libs after all the corruption and financial mess when they were last in power. Labor should have replaced Albo as leader last year when the writing was on the wall they can’t win with him as leader but it’s too late now.

Any link to the poll?

Labor put in a Mickey Mouse NACC that has been useless exposing anything… so here we are.

So which foreign power? A quasi state actor that begins with a H, and resides in say Lebanon, or a state that begins with an I, that has a bone to pick over the government's voting in the UN and feels like throwing a wrench in an upcoming election?
Mossad

This is appalling.

Read the figures in this article carefully.

Ninth richest nation in the OECD, fifth highest rate of retirees living in poverty.

Second lowest age pension.

We have a superannuation system that is supposed to ease pressure on the age pension, and instead it is being used by people like Gina Rinehart to minimise tax.

And the Australian and AFR are opposing changes that would hit a tiny number of very rich people.

I’m not sure who is opposing Labor’s legislation, the link is paywalled and it’s Murdoch, but they should be utterly ashamed of themselves.

Super is now just another wealth transfer mechanism for the elites.

Hard to compare with those sorts of sloppy statistics.
Its also hard to compare what is free for pensioners.
One example is that in the USA , a pensioner can get "Medicare" hospital insurance, but they need to pay $150 per month to cover them for doctors visits and other non-hospital health care.

There are statements in the article such as "

The richest 20% get nearly 60% of the benefit of superannuation tax concessions "

Yes. There are always people who seem amazed that those paying the least tax don't get as many tax concessions as the "Rich". Its a bloody tax concession, you need to be otherwise paying tax before it affects you.

We hear people bleating about it every time the government implement PAYE tax cuts as well.

Super is now just another wealth transfer mechanism for the elites.
Gotta hand it to them, they don't miss much.

If it weren't for the fact that the unions are so closely associated with industry super funds, the Coalition would love that the system is being fleeced by the rich in this manner.

The poll says more people would vote Labor in Queensland than in Victoria. Reckon we need to take that with a grain of salt as it's clearly wrong.

Albo has massive issues but replacing him would have been very out there. I think people are fairly over leaders getting booted on the back of bad polling.

Resolve is run by Jim Reed, a long-time researcher for the Liberal Party. I think any suggestion Victoria prefers a Dutton government is fanciful at best.
People fleeing the major parties and flocking to smaller parties and independents sounds perfectly feasible to me. It's a continuation of a trend that's been in place since the mid 1970s in Australia

Odds don’t really make sense .. Labor favourite to form a minority government yet LNP favourite?

View attachment 2209786

They make sense. Labor minority the most likely, followed closely by both Coalition options. Labor majority at long odds. So put together the market says Dutton more likely than Albanese to form government because the Labor majority option is highly unlikely.

How do you think people would perceive the opposition voting against every cost of living relief bill brought before Parliament?
I doubt they would know, which explains why Dutton is leading in the polls, the Murdoch press doing their job of sweeping facts under the carpet to push their anti progression agenda. It worked for Tony Abbott too just say No, The media will do your bidding and choose not to put it to print.

Why? An election result is far more difficult to rig than any individual sporting event.
yeah and thanks for pointing out the problem

making a sport out of democracy and having a betting market on the outcome of an election is peak ****ed up capitalism
