It might be news to you that there is a world wide shortage of IC Nurses. Guess why?

Mate i work at the hospital i mentioned in my post above. Im giving an insight into whats happening. I watched my ex struggle to get employment as a nurse after graduating here during the outbreak of the pandemic, simply because she was born in Nepal. If you're going to ask a condescending sarcastic question you can cram it.

Some areas are as low as 85 per cent. Seems 93% is the safe level, but regardless, there are many places where it's nowhere near that.

There are minimal consequences if 5% of people do not vaccinate.

Minimal statistical consequences.
If it is your infant who dies from whooping cough, then on a personal scale, I doubt you would consider that tome minimal.

But yes, one infant death to whooping cough in 2011 is minimal statistically.
13000 infections though seems a little less minimal, though luckily the majority were immunised and survived.
Whooping cough requires constant re-vaccination and 2011 was considered an "epidemic" year thanks to the 10% of people who elected not to vaccinate their children or themselves.
If it were possible to have only those who choose not to vaccinate become infected and/or die then I would have no issue with your exercising your right to choice.
As there is no way to see this only effects those choose not to vaccinate then I think any parent/organisation in within their rights to prevent contact with the un-vaccinated.

As many seem quite proud of their anti-vacc stance I see no reason why they should not be identifiable either. It is a threat to the rest of the school population after all.
I doubt you would have you child listed on a school website as un-vaccinated?

Those kid would aren't and are at risk serious injury or death from a preventable diesese might be though.

I have to have a whooping cough booster vaccination, as my daughter is pregnant & because of the idiot anti-vacc crowd, whooping cough is on the rise. The fact that myself & every other family member will be vaccinated, the baby will still be at risk when in public, until it has it's vaccination.

So stuff all you anti-vacc people, if my grandchild gets whooping cough from morons, I will go postal on your arses.

Well how about the fact that immunisation meant that you probably received a more minor case than what otherwise would have occurred. Pro- vac's have never suggested that vaccination will result in 100% chance of never getting a particular disease.

When you say it did not work, what exactly do you mean?

There is no guarantee any vaccination works for everyone in every situation, however you are alive and well and having been vaccinated probably stopped you having a worse outcome and made it harder for you to infect others.

Immunizations aren't instantaneous. If you have symptoms within days, you were probably infected before you even received the vaccination, and almost certainly before the vaccination had the chance to become effective.

You can't put a rubber on after you've got her pregnant and declare that condoms don't work.
