Went their myself with some family, was a good evening. Free booze, Robbo cracked a few jokes and had a good chat with Gysberts. Quiet guy to be honest, very humble, just talked about his injuries and the games he's been playing.

Yeah there was a few of us there from BF. I'll do a mini report as soon as I've got a sec but it was a very good night and I was suprised that the players I spoke to were as open and interesting as they were. I was kinda expecting the robots you get in the media but they were great.

I’ve got a Gysberts story you might like to hear.

In around 2017-18 MFC had a promotion where anyone who went to family day would get a plastic cup with a likeness of Jack Viney stenciled on it.

As it happened, Gys asked on this very forum, on this very board, whether anyone was going who might get him a Jack Viney cup. Since I was going with my partner, we figured that we could get two Jack Viney cups and give one to Gys on account of our limited storage space in the property we inhabited.

We got the cup and I made arrangements to meet Gys at quarter time of round 2 which was played at the MCG. The exchange took place behind the demon army. Gys was very nice. I recall him as quite tall and wearing a bicycle helmet, even though it was 30 minutes into the game.

I didn’t say it was a good story
