Have no idea why but for some reason I think we will win this week, not sure if it is just my head trying to ruffle the ladder a bit but I genuinely think we will win.
Nothing logical about, GWS have us covered in most areas.
Anyone else thinking like this or should I get my head examined.

I'm predicting around a 30 point loss but I wouldn't be surprised if we did win. We have a good record against them and they may start to crack under the pressure coming close to finals.

hahahaha what a joke! no way in hell! We are such a pretty weak team away from home, no fight, no spirit... Lets just try and finish the season off and concerate to pick up quality mids and better position players.

THIS is what is making you considering getting your head examined, not all the other stuff? Ummmm.....

Yeah, Na. Records are meant to be broken. Most of our games against them have been at Subi. Young team, travel...you know how it goes. The only One we've played against them in Sydney was in their first year. This is a markedly different team to what it was last year, and they're playing with what we had last year....confidence.

We have been crap on the road (except maybe against Port). They're too quick for us through the middle. It's manic. Our back six/seven are going to earn their ice baths on Saturday.

I think the feeling may be borne out of the fact that we are considered no chance by anyone this week, possibly for the first time all season, so the pressure is off...and something has been awry this year, which may have something to do with the higher expectations. It all translates into a feeling of possibility.

We know we can't handle physical pressure in a game, so maybe the lack of external pressure this week will translate into a victory :drunk:

How does Spotless compare in size to Subi? SCG and Skilled Stadium are hard to win at for most away sides, not just us. I know we have problems at this stage with playing at the G, although have won there occasionally against lesser sides. I'm not holding my breath about winning but GWS weren't all that convincing last week against GC so there is a chance we could pull this off.

No idea about dimensions of Spotless mate. I could find out, but cbf. I don't think it matters where we play away and the dimensions. We just don't bring our A Game. This has been discussed in other threads, there just seems to be an inherent mental softness about the team at the moment, and especially on the road. Has been that way all year and there is nothing to suggest it's going to be any different.

GWS were a bit below par last week, and it may point to a young team hitting the wall. Or perhaps not being great travelling and playing on the road (bloody flat trackers!!). Or just that they were getting ahead of themselves thinking the Sun's were going to be an easy kill. We can only hope it is the first of these reasons and maybe they're starting to feel the pinch. I doubt it though.

They love Spotless like we love Subi. The Pies got them there when they jumped them and kept the pressure on and they failed to settle and get back in to the game. I don't think they'll let that happen again.
