Finally got around to booking my flight. Fly up on Saturday around midday, and then back to Melbourne around the same time on Sunday.

Does anyone have any idea when the tickets will go on sale? I keep checking afl.com, however, no info has been provided.

I am pretty sure it's the 1st March HBF.

Ticketing info on the AFL website only lists selling dates for Etihad & the MCG.

GABBA tickets are a pain. .. they generally only come out a week or so before the match unlike Docklands or the MCG which release the tickets at the start of the year. ..

My better half is working in brisbane the week of the match, and have offered to pay for flights for me and the two little men also. How could I refuse such a generous offer as they also provide a self contained apartment in Brisbane.

Now I just have to get the tickets, might even go nuts and get one for the old man also if he is back in brisbane for that weekend.

I'm heading up for the game, and looking forward to another big after match drink at The Pineapple Hotel.
I contacted the GC Suns via email about tickets for this game, and they said nothing is in concrete yet, however if I subscribe to their electronic newsletter, it will be in that as soon as details are known.
So I have subscribed, nothing yet. Should be very soon though.

Gold coast away - Round 2

Hey everybody im a long time reader of this forum but for the first time in a few years im posting something

Im heading up to the gold coast in round 2, however as it is my first away trip I am in unsure of how to it works. Are many of you guys thinking of heading up to Brisbane for this game? Or if you have been to interstate games before you may be able to help me out.

Where will the carlton supporters be seated? Im guessing I will need to purchase a spercific ticket to sit in that bay?

Any pre game functions? I have attended melbourne victory away games and there is always a pub which we meet at before a match. Does anything like this happen at carlton away games?

Finally what is the best way to get to the gabba? I understand that there may not be any posters from brisbane on this forum so i may have to research this one myself.

Based on past experience at interstate games, you can usually sit with other Carlton supporters, particularly if you are a member. We normally have a section within in the ground that is just for us. If in any doubt, contact the club.

We picked up flights for $90 return with tiger, got a 3 bedroom apartment for the 8 boys I'm going with so real happy with that. Just waiting for Monday to book tickets now. Hopefully there is a dedicated Carlton Supporters section!

Got tickets for me and my mate today....pretty happy...Just wondering is the Eastern end where our cheersquad usually seats cause I got tickets Section 15 row A so I'm pumped for it !!!
