Anyone going to the Gold Coast game

No use travelling up there to watch Box Hill....

I know the reasoning behind the club doing something like this with the finals being the following week, but I know I'd be seriously pissed off if they pulled a stunt like this. Call me selfish but once a year is all I get up here if I'm lucky, and I haven't been lucky since 2008. Then to finally get a game up here and have to wait till the end of the H&A only to see big names missing, screw that.

Tickets purchased, section U06 hopefully among Hawthorn fans. What section are other supporters in?

Also U06 row A.

Excellent seats available, but be quick.

Got mine, UO6 seats 116-119, me, wife and 9 and 12 yo. They both have hawks jumpers and have never seen them play hawks live. Just hope Cyril (or "squirrel" as they call him) plays or they will be devastated!

I got mine, rang up as I'm always paranoid of getting in with the opposition!

I didn't wanna drop $59 on the tickets, as I have mates going who aren't Hawks fans...so I got $35 reserved seats in the lower section, around near Hawk members (but not quite in that section).

Section 125 (on the metricon map) which is lower 25, basically the forward pocket.

Got mine - Ramp J, Aisle 222....think we're right up the back, but hard to be sure...not a lot of detail in the seating map online.

We too have a family holiday planned around it, then my two brothers and parents are flying up specifically for the game as well (Mum has recently converted from a Collingwood supporter to a Gold Coast Suns supporter...big improvement in my books!).

Don't care particularly if the seats are good/bad, if the Hawks send Box Hill, if it rains or is hot - can't wait either way, it's gonna be great fun!

Completely agree...this is going to be a cracker or a weekend.

Just FYI. I have a mate at work who nipped up for the Collingwood game the other weekend. Apparently there is NO SCORE SHOWN after quarter time! Fairly novel. So take a walkman, or whatever.

Band at half time, lots of fire twirlers and the like outside the ground, so a real atmostphere.

He did say its not the easiest place to get to...you can't drive there, or you can't park there at least. Buses seem to be the way to go, and your footy ticket gives you free public transport.

Anyone know the "places to go" around Broadbeach/Surfers Paradise? My grandparents lived about a one-wood from the ground for 25 years, but moved away 10 years ago, and I don't really recall too many hotspots anyway.

Do you tend to hit up the surf clubs, or the casino, or what?

Any locals?

I rang Ticketmaster with the hope of requesting U08 as it seems to be smack bang in the middle, but they could only give me "Best Available" so U06 Row C. I like a couple rows back anyway, I know the first two rows of P & Q at the G the railing gets in the way.

Uh, not sure what this is about. Every game I've been to, the score board has been working fine all game.

Unfortunately I did miss the Pies game, but this is the first time I've heard of this. New stadium, so still some kinks to get out I suppose.

If any questions about travelling, hit up the threads dedicated to it on our board. :D

Hope to see you there!

Oh ok, well obviously more a technical fault, than a strategy. We had wondered whether it was in the interests of not displaying beltings or something, but still didn't sound right.

Hopefully just a once off.

Got mine on the flank Gold B not relying on getting tix in a ballot plus just want a good seat.
I'm going to the Casino and I think Broady is the best place to go for pubs, bars and clubs. To many places to stay away from in Surfers.

PM me if you need to know exacts for exactly where to go for your partying needs.

Anyone going to "out"
