IMO sub candidates need either real X-factor or great positional flexibility. Fin doesn’t offer either at this point of his career. All evidence suggests that he is a grinder who needs an extended period on the field to accumulate possessions and build up a cumulative impact.

Should have had markov as sub and fin in the 22, for balance, otherwise I feel we have more defenders than mids.
But they prob feel they had to reward fin for his hard work (a bit like Reef early on)

I wonder if the club ever reads its bulletin boards for a laugh/cry. Players are probably taught early on not to read their threads - although, I wouldn't be surprised if some do - but during the trade period or before selection, it would be so entertaining for Fly to kick back and have a read over the threads.

I agree. We don't need more midfielders. We need defenders, preferably with experience, particularly with Frampton spending most of the match in ruck. We won last week without JDG. I see Murphy more as a loss than Adams.

They’re just keeping Kelly out for the rest of the season, so he’s ready to go when our next tall has to be put down.

Kelly and Macrae will be the sub and carry over. Doubt they’ll take another, just take a punt on someone as a sub if they get that desperate.

Carmy has kicked 3.2 in the vfl and been a standout. Very good game without much support
