MGS start this week, not looking forward to facing Matt Collister, he will no doubt be dangerous on the seaming MGS tracks.

the top class contingent of MGS will strap on the pads for the first time tomorrow night.

most are feeling fresh and are eagerly awaiting the form of the newcomer d.harrod.

he is sure to create some trouble with his leggies on pitches which are still extremely green.

be sure to have a look out for the big strapping young lad named marty mccoy. after plenty of upper body gymwork and night after night of bowling analysis, he is ready to rip through top orders.

ive seen collins from haileybury play before and now that he has hurt his back it will be big problems for them. They still have his batting though as he can bat the kid and did make a hundred against scotch last year against a decent attack.
Similar circumstance to GGS in 2003. Andy Burchell did his back and was a fast, and pretty intimidating bowler who could no longer bowl, but could bat. As a result they were left with only one fast bowler(Hunter), who opened on most occasions with an off-spinner. Hunter went on to make the APS squad and it would have been really handy if Burchell had been there to open the bowling at the other end. This really hurt their chances and thus they only managed one win, against Haileybury.

Looks like the APS cricket season will go down to the wire much like the recent footy season. Not surprising as the draw is exactly the same. Therefore some big games in term 2 next year eg. BGS v CGS, MGS v HC, SC v MGS , BGS v HC . Hope it is not raining in April.

When did they bring in the rule that they play cricket in Term 2?

Only next season as Commonwealth games in Melb. !st term is only 6 weeks and early holidays. Therefore 3rounds in T4 2005 6 rounds T1 2006 and 2 rounds T2 2006. Presumably some of the footy will be pushed into T3

whats worse is that the footy season starts about 1-2 weeks after the cricket season finishes

nah mate it finishes all before the commenwealth games. THe schools are starting earlier this year.

tiger coll is right. I assure you 1st term in 2006 is only 6 weeks and there is cricket in term 2. The draw is the same as 2005 football.

You guys haven't picked up on Haileybury's new recruit from Barbados. Broke two players' fingers at indoortraining this morning. Quick and dangerous. Will make Haileybury hard to beat.
