I'm not fully convinced we'll lose to StKilda, Collingwood, Geelong or beat Port or Fremantle. But just threw each game on what i thought most probable at this stage. I've think we'll sneak into the eight on 12-13 wins.

We'll get Naitanui back for the finals. Play Port away in week one, beat those kittens and play the Dogs away. We seek our revenge, Kennedy to kick 10 and and Yeo to get 35 touches and 3 goals. Prelim we'll come up against GWS away and Naitanui will kick the sealer with only a moment left on the clock. Come up against Adelaide in the GF and get pumped by ten goals. :drunk:

I can't see us winning another away game for the rest of the year.

And I have us losing to Adelaide in the final round at home only. Giving us 6 more wins for a total of 12.
We may scrape into 7-8 th spot imo.

Thought it timely to bump this seeing as its July, which is almost August and therefore September - traditionally the time that top teams start to make their move. When you look at our season to date our form has been up and down like a brides nightie, at times this team has shit me to tears among some pretty good wins also... We find ourselves sitting inexplicably within striking distance of top four meaning our fate rests on us getting on the right side of on a run of wins. Can we do it?

+ we have definitely looked a better team coming out of the bye and its largely down to improvement from our midfield. Who would have thought that an emphasis of tackling pressure and more urgency around quick ball movement would have such an effect?

+Sheed and Yeo adding bite around the stoppages cant be underestimated. Hutchings as a lock down tagger. Masten in the 2's. Mitchell a revelation off the back of the square. Structural changes in our midfield paying dividends.

+Petrie and Vardy holding the fort, better form from Darling

+Momentum can build off the back of returning guns

- Our tall players have done so well we run a risk of being to big and slow unless tough decisions are made with returning players. Our backline is potentially too tall. We cant play three rucks. We cant play 3+ kpf's

- Injuries to JK, Lecca, Priddis, Rioli, Nelson, Wellingham, NN, Venables, Cripps, Butler and co was not allowed us to settle our 22.

- Our small forwards have been woeful since the bye with Lecras and Cripps hampered by injury. We need them to get their bodies right and some form building into finals. Karpany needs to maintain his form - can he?

- Our final quarter fade-outs is a massive concern and even last week we did our best to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, but for these fadeouts we'd be sitting pretty in the top four. Do we have the mental aptitude when push comes to shove?

- Finals are played on the MCG and we suck there

? With each passing day the eruption of Mount Fiji seems like less and less of a prospect. If the moon and stars lined up however.. do you roll the dice bringing him in at the pointy end of the season.

All in all the squad is playing with better and more consistent intensity so there is at least some cause to believe we can get on the end of a month or so run of wins we need to push into the top four. For the first time this year I am forming a belief that we could in fact have some sort of impact this year. Needs to start this week.

Predictions for the first four games on your list all look reasonable

And they were all wrong. Go figure

Hopefully that trend doesn't continue into this weekend

Your batting 100% at the moment but not in a good way

My guess is we will win 3 of our last 7 and miss the eight.
