I overslept but just read the match report on planetfootball.com and both Vieira and Cole trudged of injured. I'll watch the game when Fox replays it next but I saw a still of the jenas incident and it's a strange one.
Gilberto scoring again? It must be christmas.
Still a pretty good effort from the Toon but no points to show for it.

Disappointed, the first goal went down to a sliced clearance from Bramble which found Henry at the back post who taped it in. Second goal Gilberto lost Jenas in the box and headed home from around 6 yards and the third goal...Jenas jumped high but in the process had his hand in the air and a penalty was paid. Didnt know why or how maybe he lost his balance but he certainly wasnt pushed.

Bernard got the goal of the game with a lovely pass from Dyer who took the ball off the feet of his teammate around halfway and then threaded the ball into the box for Bernard to smack it home.

Thought Dyer was our best and even with that howler Bramble played well. Shearer, Bellamy and Bowyer were hardly noticed.

I thought we were awful but probably did enough to deserve a point... echoing what's already been said:

Bramble showed his best and worst... some crunching tackles and some tight marking, but miskicked an attempted clearance allowing Henry to score from close range - where was the marking though? Henry continues on and scores, Hughesy and co stop dead and ballwatch. Where are Bernard and Robert down the left to look after Lauren?

JJ was a moron with that needless penalty.

Dyer had his best game in a long time - he's clearly better off out wide with a license to roam inside.

Worrying signs though... how can Arsenal win 3-2 with Vieira and Cole going off injured, and an injured Ljungberg a spectator for the last 20 or so minutes - essentially leaving the Gooners with 10 men. 3 awful conceded goals.

Bowyer missing again. Bellamy missing again. Titus and AOB look out of their depth again.

We're still a long way off a turn around.

Four potential injury problems for Arsenal. Vieira, Cole, Ljungberg and Keown are all doubtful for Tuesday nights game.

Jenas is going to be a cracking player but he is having a tough time of things this year, judgement still has a way to catch up to his abilitystupidity more than lack of ability.

Moomba

The Geordies were servicable and may have picked up a point given our injury run. The cynical hack on Freddie will probably cost us his services for a few weeks. Viera and Cole are doubtful. Basically we're going to Moscow with 1/2 a team. Sh ite.

At least we're 4 points clear on top - albeit with Chelsea 2 games in hand.
