As a Crow fan, how will YOU handle it if Port Power win the Flag this year?

Growing up as a Sturt supporter I learned to hate PA at an early stage.

I just cannot stand them.
You cant measure my hatred for them. All the 1870; creed bullshit, does my head in.

And the carry on about Cahill; Williams and McLean. Yes they were all good football people and their records speak for themselves but none of them were born and bred PA people (Cahill came from South Adelaide; Williams from West Adelaide and Mclean from Norwood)

Having said that, the one PA guy I did admire was Ebert. Brilliant footballer and didn't appear to be a typical PA arrogant flog.
This! I just cannot understand how one of my best friends, with whom I went to Sturt games back in the 60's, came to barrack for the Power when they came in. Even her Sturt loving son barracks for them! That does my head in.

I dedicated a fair portion of my BigFooty life to trolling Port...

I love the rivalry between us.

But in reality, if they win the flag good on em.

It shows the club held true to the course they believed in. Ignored the outside noise and backed in the Ken/Carr coach combination.

I hope Ken sticks it up em if they win it.

I'm somewhat of a football tragic, I get swept up in the joy of the winning team and nearly come to tears as I watch them celebrate their achievement after the siren blows.

Remember they kicked out Geoff Motley, Fos Williams and Russel Ebert. They are the biggest hypocrites going around.

I struggle to understand how anyone except those who live in/around Port Adelaide or supported the Magpies in the SANFL support them - I'm of the strong belief they're different clubs but they're very smart in their propaganda machine. I wonder if their supporters from the leafy eastern suburbs have ever stepped foot in the Port?

I don't get why there are so many Port fans crawling all over Adelaide now. The ratio of Port to Crows supporters seems to be getting worse all the time.

Probably has something to do with our near-decade of irrelevance while they've continued to play finals. Beginning in 2014, they've had 6 finals series and about to be 4 prelims, while we've had 3 finals series and 1 prelim.

and 1 GF. :$

Fear not, Ken has decided to go 1 short again playing Dixon.

Should have played Visintini or Lord instead.
Knowing the thuggery at Alberton, Dixon probably assigned to take out a key Sydney player like Heeney.

Gets suspended but potentially lands Port in a GF.

Not sure Dixon is quick enough to get near Heeney or any Sydney player lol..

McCartin is going to have a field day & help Rampe by double teaming Georgiades.

Adelaide does love a winner but it's still a strange club to identify with unless you're from out that way. Definitely doesn't represent the state in the same way as the AFC

I left it out because it would make us seem better than we are. If you just look at the last 7 years (including this year), it's 4 finals series and 3 prelims to zero.

Edit: that makes me think. If you're one of those kids whose parents let you choose their team based on things like winning, if you're 7 years old now, the Crows have never played finals in your lifetime. You'd need to be 26 to have seen a Crows flag in your lifetime, and older still to remember one. There are literally no children who have seen a Crows premiership.

Bad feeling lads... backs against the wall Port are never easy to beat. Swans are slow starters and were all kinds of horse shit in the first half of the QF

I'm surprisingly calm about this.

Sydney are coming good at the right time and GWS was the ideal result. If there legit they should win this pretty comfortably and joyful order will be rostered.

I also have a horrible feeling.
I don’t mind the way port goes about their game and they are definitely hard to beat however, their supporters are disgusting and I do not want to see any of them have that feeling that I’ve been craving for years.
I went to watch Melb vs Port this year and supported Melbourne peacefully but got assaulted and yelled at the whole game making it not easy to enjoy the free tickets.
Dogs. I hope if they win tomorrow they get flogged in the GF

agree, it’s amazing how many wealthy eastern suburbans go for Port

In a season where "anything can happen".

There is one constant

Port are crap in Finals.

Won one quarter in three Finals.
Never in doubt imo.

What a complete and utterly embarrassing show by the Port Pittspuke squad

Talk about perpetual campaigners

Never was a thing to worry about

😂🤣😂🤣

Sadly, irrelevance for extended periods of times often causes this issue.

Unless you backed a team from an early age—the more you lose the less likely you are to obtain new fans.

Just human nature to want to support “winners” as opposed to jumping into backing an organization that has lost its way.
