We've looked inside the club cos we have a ****ing gem in Steve Morris that well and truly deserves a promotion.

We also got rid of dead weight Teague and replaced him with one of the highest regarded assistant coaches in the country in Caracella.

We could've put Lonergan in charge of the VFL side ahead of the external Batchelor...

Teague signing was Dimma’s precursor move to signing Taranto and hopper… signing driven by the little head more than the big head

Bachelor has been a long time coach, that doesn't happen by accident. Unless you are in on the coaching situation, nobody is any wiser than anyone else, so let's see how he goes. Who would have picked Morris to have success, but he has done very well with what he had in difficult circumstances.

We did with our Sports Fitness decision when Burge left and we’ve done it again.

How people are celebrating this is beyond me.

Batch I’m ok with spent a lot of time away from our club working on his coaching from memory.

It’s our afl level coaches I’m worried about

Lambo has interests outside of footy he wanted to pursue.

Who knows may come back one day

Agreed, We needed to promote Morris for the next stage of his development. Other clubs were circling.
I think he’s got the potential to be an AFL senior coach, albeit big role ahead of him, at AFL level in a side that’s likely to be belted most weeks next year.
Re Batch, who knows, time will tell. Has been mentored by Aaron Hamil and probably had a bit to do with Ross Lyon in his role at the Saints

Probably as important a decision as any.

With 6-8 18 yr olds, coming onboard next year, we obviously need an experienced head.
Older players pretty much know how to look after themselves, it’s the younger guys that need the correct conditioning early in their careers

Not everyone has the ability to coach however if he turns up at another club as an assistant coach, then we know that something is going on.

Again, perhaps I'm reading into it far too much and it is literally needing a change of scenery.

Agree although I'd assume lambo has a much more lucrative opportunity, these coaches get a pretty average salary

Not sure people whinging you wanted change its happening .This clean out should have happened years ago even before Yze, especially when he got the job some got to comfortable in there role.

The appropriate time is after the new head coach comes in not before , he should be deciding who will compliment what he’s trying to do , that’s not possible if that was decided prior to him taking reigns

I thought the whole idea of having a stand alone VFL team was so they played the same way, wouldn’t say it’s his game plan he’s implementing.

His main role was to develop the kids, not sure you can say many of ours have come on in recent years?

The VFL game plan was way better than the AFL teams.
Or at least it was executed a lot better

I’m don’t think Steve Morris’s main job is to solely develop the kids
He’s coaching a whole team

20+ injuries too makes it super hard plus add some duds we have

Wonder if Batchelor can get his draft buddies back to the club in conca and helbig ….. I remember people being excited about helbig when he first arrived at the club, shame it didn’t work out though
