I don’t think there is a more entertaining batter to watch than Litchfield at the moment, she mixes the elegant with the extravagant and always looks to be having fun.

Ash Gardener injured in the warm up in a collision with Georgia Wareham and withdrawn under concussion protocols. Haven’t seen much due to my own training but from limited looks Alyssa Healy looks to be having a mare NZ 7/140 after their overs
Alyssa Healys wicketkeeping was dreadfully bad last night. She was letting through a lot of regulation deliveries go past her and dare I say it, there were probably about 12-15 runs she conceded when a better keeper would have saved those.

There was one miss she was particularly hard on herself about, and she motioned on a couple of occasions she was unable to see the ball's trajectory because Bates and Green were taking a big step past their off stump and blocking her view. Perhaps she was a little rusty, but overall, I don't think she was too bad for a first up match in a number of months. I thought her captaincy was pretty solid, I think on 2 or 3 occasions a change in bowler resulted in a wicket first ball, but I do think she could have kept Mooney in at slip a little longer, there were a few edges that got past her, and which may have been taken by a slip.

Ash Gardner is the player of the series despite missing the first game, says something about the evenness of the team, everybody contributed at various stages and no one was a standout.
